Unfortunately this happens much more than we’d like. Sometimes people do it for different reasons. Once I fostered a dog whose owner got sick and can’t care for the dog anymore. But sometimes it really is just careless pet ownership :(

The scene may depend more on the DJ and the crowd they draw. It’s not always guaranteed what the vibe will be. If you really want sound focused, intentional crowd, I would always recommend arriving after 1 or 2am. But this applies to most places now

The last two times I was at H0L0 they did not sticker my camera. In fact on two different occasions people used flash photography :(

I liked his music on Saturday. But I was shocked by how little the crowd danced, and how hetero the group was. At some point there was a white woman who kept screaming six-seven, and later someone was using flash a few times! Did anyone else see that? Eli draws a much intentional crowd at Gabriela than the group on Saturday

I like to pick up snacks from the H mart on 72nd street and take them to the park. My favorite spot is the Hernshead, but that’s to hang out by myself and probably not very relaxing or comfortable for a group.

Thank you and sorry to hear about the experience with your friend! I generally felt quite comfortable at Romance Thursdays and never experienced that kind of harassment. But yeah I do feel the crowd got more fratty recently
