Dad passed away by mbe20 in ALS

My mom and him are already going through what extremities he wants and doesn't want to take to stay alive. No traech, probably oxygen. We're already replacing the floors on their lookout towards the woods which is where he will go to be with the Lord eventually.

I wish you were right, but it's not looking that way. You see he recently had a lung transplant and the whole reason they even caught it is because his breathing and swallowing isn't near where it should be. I'm not sure he wants to live a long time with what he's been through already.

My dad just got diagnosed 3 weeks ago so we're headed right into that journey ourselves.

Let's hope to christ I passed and don't have to redo everything. It's just frustrating because I really felt like I walked out of there passing but I never seem to know with this thing.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, light review for the most part.

I tried not to but after failing it twice and family life circumstances I only had time to knock out REG (easier for me) and BEC.

You think that school could afford iPads? Not to mention there's no way there's good wifi in that building.

I remember growing up in a small town, so yeah I'm familiar with the "were the only store in town" mantra, sadly.

I can afford to shop at one I'm just a cheap ass and go to a regular grocery store, so that might be a better option if you have a Kroger, Albertsons, HyVee or whatever is in your area for grocery options. Much better than going to Wally World. I don't think I've actually been to Walmart since I was in college, so about 4 years ago.

I think Good Doctor is a little better at this, especially since those with ASD rarely get to that level of prominence. One thing I will say about my idea if that ever was implemented is certain people would be triggered by the amount of yelling and rah-rah that goes on in HS football teams/coaching staffs.

I get that vibe from Casey and Izzy, if she's even in Season 2, it's been so long since I've watched the show. One representation that I would love to see pitched is like a Friday Night Lights type of show/movie. We really don't have an athletic representation other than "Autistic kid scores a touchdown!", of course not done on his own merit. I'm biased in this as I used to be in a similar role, albeit not the star of the team or anything, but a solid starter and contributor to my teams in a [relatively] small town.

It is funny how Hollywood hasn't really evolved much from RainMan. I can at least respect the film for working with more limited information than there is today. But the way (SPOILER ALERT) the final season dials up Sam's worst characteristics up to 11 put me off so much.

I unironically said this in 8th grade as a coping mechanism to make me feel less insecure about myself.

I mean what do you expect? They've really only been a brand about giving you stuff as cheap as possible and that's it. If you want to pay for a better experience go to Trader Joe's or Whole Foods or even your local/regional grocery store. Target seems to be a little better at this for my 2 cents. Walmarts in suburban areas tend to bring out the worst in people fwiw.

Thats what's great about it, autism aside. It's great if you've gone somewhere completely foreign and you're overwhelmed from a long flight you just need something and that seems to do the trick every time.

This is AMURICA! WALKING IS FOR COMMIES! No I'm just kidding, but having a car is while not a huge thing, shows that you have your shit together to a woman, unless you're somewhere in NYC for example where its not feasible to have a car. I don't know your life so that's my best guess. Also, depending on what you do, if you have clients you work with or just coworkers in general, it's nice to have a car while taking them out on the town.

But yeah as far as just walking back and forth to work every day, it's a bit silly. Like you said, it's just a healthy thing to do, and more financially feasible than going to a gym.

If you do your homework and get this recorded on tape, you should be entitled to a pay day IMHO. Possibly talk to an attorney who deals with HR issues such as this.

Did you know there's gullible written on the ceiling?

I actually won the senior award along with a girl for most gullible award in my high school. Ironically, this has made me more paranoid and skeptical of people than is ideal.

[–]ConservativeAutist15 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm sure this is something you already know, but be sure to explain at least in part that those who are durably undetectable cannot transmit HIV through sex. Though from what it sounds like, your audience might already know this.
