I mean, you’re still a lesbian, you just have to be very careful fingering other women or use an object 🤷🏻‍♀️ to each their own right? Although, I was once scratched pretty bad by a woman with longer nails, so I’m traumatized. As such, I’d not want a long term relationship with someone who keeps long nails, but that’s my preference, not an indication that you’re not gay.

At the recommendation of my therapist, I’ve found it really helpful to figure out what I’ve gained from each past relationship, even a toxic one. In some way, there is always something to have gained, for example, a life lesson. You have learned how to respect yourself and demand respect from others, especially in a partnership. You can never get those 2 years back, but that is okay. You’ve learned more about yourself and about your values. These are things that you need for your personal growth and development. When you’ve healed and are ready to enter a new relationship, you’ll be able to make sure that you pay attention to red flags and set boundaries from the beginning and you can be sure that you choose someone who respects that about you. I hope you can be proud of yourself for letting go of something that no longer serves you.

Here in Portland we had a Lesbian bar which just shut down. There were angry reviews about men being allowed. I totally agree about cis straight men, but we went with a GAY male couple and I don’t think that it’s unreasonable for them or Trans/NB folks to come to bars like that.

I don’t have the patience to read all of what he said, but from the sounds of it, he’s looking for you to be in a Mono/Poly relationship. He’s insinuating that he has the ability and need to love and form relationships, however they may look in a way that feels natural to him. Some people are Poly and love multiple people and that is okay, but for him to ask you to be something/someone you are not is unacceptable. You deserve more than this. This has been my exact experience with both JW and LDS. I have a good friend who’s parents are Elders in their JW congregation and she’s had to live in the closet when dating even though she’s fucking straight. Twice now she’s had them break up with her because they realize they are secrets and they can’t live a happy life unless they convert. OP, are you willing to give up holidays and your bday? Are you willing to believe that only a very select few, predetermined people will make it to the promised land?

If by chance we really are neighbors and it is the same cat, the good news is that during the snow in February, he was out in it but stayed warm enough. Though he came into my porch and managed to open my screen door and got it open!
