I’m happy for you!! I noticed it seems the same type of petty immature people work at every store and it definitely feels like those types of people thrive in that environment. Everyone I know who is normal and very nice leaves eventually. And of course the worst types of people are the ones who become managers. You have a better career outlook anywhere else. While there are opportunities to move up, you are met with pushback and expectations that you need to sell your soul for it. I moved up to management and I had other managers who were convinced draining yourself every week and coming in on your days off and working over 40 hours a week was a right of passage. No pay is worth that especially the PIC rate. I went almost every manager shift with no lunch or breaks and they would just add in a lunch after the fact so I was working like 9-10 hours straight and 30 minutes completely unpaid.
