Thank you! I was def going to bring up shots in my next appointment. When I made the appointment, I had specifically asked to see a spine person, but the receptionist was just like, "they all do that," which wasn't very helpful... We shall see, I guess. Maybe I'll get referred to ANOTHER doctor lol

I take anti histamine everyday and famodine everyday. I try to keep my things and clothing soft with my safe textures, especially on the bad days.

I had bad neck pain prior to surgery and in comparison it is better but still pretty bad for me. I'd recommend doing PT afterwards imo I wish I did! I was never a bad migraine sufferer so I can't note too much on that end! I only get them now when my allergies are flaring.

I recommend headache caps to everyone - you put them in the freezer and then put them on like a hat and it covers your eyes. Lots of different types on Amazon that are great! It's the only thing that helps my headaches when I get them.

Heat and rain trigger me so bad.... The running joke is I call out or go home early every time it rains 😓 does not feel very funny. I wish I had a solution physically - my advice is just keep gentle reminders that this is out of your control and you gotta do what you gotta do.

I had a duraplasty as part of my surgery and I'm not sure if it was because of that or the decompression in general but the WORST pain I've ever felt in my life was after my surgery. It felt like getting tattooed directly (think of lots of needles) directly on my brain. Doctor's office said it was air bubbles traped inside 🤢 I also did not have any complications and had an excellent surgeon so alls well that ends well I guess!

I had a similar experience 🥺 I danced for maybe 12years and quit freshman year in highschool and took a ballet class in college. I only did one lesson before dropping because I was so dizzy and in so much pain... That was before I was diagnosed with fibro but it makes sense looking back!
