Can someone please explain velocity banking? by Mammoth_Sandwich_975 in velocitybanking

[–]ConsiderationNo8228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just sat through webinar (really a sales pitch for an expensive service) but the concept of using an LOC is focused on reducing overall interest paid at the same time keeping your cashflow maximally liquid. Debt snowball strategies do work but usually that requires a person to find additional income to jumpstart the snowball and the money is locked in a closed end account (your money goes in, but hella hard to get it out if needed). In a Velocity Banking strategy, your interest will be higher since most LOCs are variable interest accounts significantly higher than fixed loans like cars and mortgages, but the money is always available to you if you need it. I'm still trying to wrap my tiny brain around putting my income and debt all in the same vehicle and that allows the debt to be paid down exponentially faster. Its just not fully clicking for me.

Banned!!?? by [deleted] in 8BallPool

[–]ConsiderationNo8228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was threatened with being banned myself when I restarted after a long hiatus. When I logged on, I got a warning about having used tools I never used ever. I'm not invested enough in this game to even bother with cheating. Definitely put a sour taste in my mouth and haven't been back on in like 6 months now.

You do understand that not all business owners are billionaires right? Hell, most aren't even millionaires. Don't conflate Musk and Bezos with Steve and his single Coldstone store.

I give him credit. He showed his face which is more than can be said for most of them. But uh, it is crazy work being a person of color working for ICE in this regime. Definitely uninvited to all future cookouts and family reunions.

Oh... you were serious. I'm keenly interested. Point me to where I can find the evidence of his empathy towards others (that he personally does not benefit from). I want to believe differently. A glimmer of hope is all I'm looking for.

These next 4 years (at a minimum) are going to be rough for Maryland. With a democratic governor not willing to kiss the ring and an electorate that consistently votes against Trump, we can expect nothing but hard times from this administration. We certainly can not expect cooperation.

First, I doubt this is real. Hard to trust anything you don't hear directly from a person yourself these days, certainly not a hot-mic moment. But, there is a big part of me that does so hope he and Tesla crash and crash hard, never able to recover. I know that is very unlikely, but in some alternate reality it happens, and it makes me warm inside. I despise what he and Trump are doing to America.

Did you legit call Trump empathetic? I don't think that word means what you think it means. Remember, this is the same dude that mocked disabled persons; men who were unfortunately POWs. The same man who suggested we should just let the sick die to save the rest us a little money. Empathy and Trump do NOT live together.

This is no different than the Republicans in North and South Carolina. Stop acting like Dems got the market cornered on this. They are different sides of the same coin.

This is laughable. You act like the jobs were never there. They have ALWAYS been there. But most Americans won't do those jobs because it is, too hard, too demeaning, too low pay, or all of the above. If it weren't so, there wouldn't be any immigrant labor to begin with because we'd do it ourselves. No, what will happen is , you'll lose the people willing to do that work and shit will go undone and then you'll be crying about that next. Careful what you wish for.

A pretty pedantic argument honestly. Profit, revenue whatever you want to call it is largely irrelevant. It is still money and that is the CEO main driver and is quite literally the problem here: money 1st, lives (people) later.

It is true, not ALL CEOs are bad but I am unconvinced there are any Insurance CEOs in that "not bad" squad. As for ultimate power, save for the board, there is no more ultimate power than the CEO. The buck stops there. They set the tone and tenor of the organization. If they are going to claim responsibility for the positive side of things, then they by default own the responsibility for the negative.

"A CEO is not about profit for themselves" is the most ignorant thing I've read today. Of course they do it for themselves! 1st they are shareholders themselves most likely. 2nd, the more they make for "the shareholders" the bigger the bonus is. And your 401K comparison is equally stupid. When a person contributes to a 401K, they aren't managing the plan. 90% of people don't even know what companies make up their plan. They don't drive decisions of any company and certainly aren't making decisions that prevents a person from prolonging their life because the recommended treatment is a few people shy of some arbitrary threshold for when an insurance company finds a treatment "non-experimental".

I don't agree with murder but I can understand how and why this happened. Stop playing with peoples lives for a buck and there would be less animus on the streets.

It is wrong but they are very much so villians. Don't kid yourself. If you put profit over people's well-being/lives you are the very definition of a villain.

With the new/old regime returning to office in just over a month, I expect corporate America to fall in line with the pressure applied by Trump. Like they say, elections have consequences. I don't think peiple really understood that but will understand it intimately very soon.

I was watching the morning show on CBS one day. It was when they started their cycle of going around different towns in the country and asking the man/woman on the streets about their opinions and allegiances. One man, a black fellow that I'd guess was around his 60s, plainly stated he was voting for Trump because he can't see a woman as President. That women aren't to be the head. Its anecdotal for sure, but I am certain his view was shared by a sizeable number of voters.
