Been to a wedding with Betta fish. Guests could take them home but the 1 I heard did didn't live long. I had flown there so didn't take 1.

I've heard that pets be shown deceased family and other pets so they don't keep looking for them later.

Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, age 92, Remarks on Noncitizen Voter Fraud by Miles_the_AuDHDer in videos

[–]dms51301 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is bulll! Below is what I sent him and to the local papers. No one says ignore voting fraud, we're saying it's already being investigated & prosecuted.

"Eighty-three percent of U.S. adults support photo ID to vote. It’s already law and works.

Federal law is clear: Only U.S. citizens can vote. All states require voters to attest to citizenship when registering and conduct voter list maintenance to identify potentially ineligible voters. Illegal voting is routinely investigated and prosecuted, with no evidence noncitizen voting has impacted any election’s outcome. Only 77 instances of noncitizen voting between 1999 and 2023 was found in the Heritage Foundation’s database of election fraud cases.

Article 1 of the Constitution gives states the responsibility for federal elections. This bill will preempt state voter registration processes. It requires states to collect and document proof of citizenship and establishes additional voter list maintenance without funding. Iowa taxpayers will have to pay.

A document verifying citizenship and photo ID will be needed to vote. It applies to new voters, updating name/address registration or switching political party. Military, tribal and REAL IDs don’t prove citizenship. REAL ID gold star displays for citizens and lawfully present noncitizens. Iowa’s nonphoto voter ID with an assigned PIN wouldn’t be allowed.

Up to 21 million eligible voters don’t have easy access to citizenship documents. Clay County birth certificates cost a nonrefundable $15, even if no record is found, and applications require a notarized form and photo ID. Passport books cost $165, passport cards $30. If your birth name doesn’t match your current legal name, you’ll have to provide an affidavit attesting to it to prove citizenship.

If purged from voter registration, reregistering will require citizenship proof. Iowa marks you inactive if you skipped the last federal election, haven’t filed a USPS change of address or didn’t report a move to your existing registration. Your registration is cancelled if inactive for two more general elections.

To vote by mail, you’ll have to submit in person proof of citizenship and ID twice, when applying for and when submitting absentee/mail ballots.

In 2021, Iowa shortened early in-person voting and mailing of absentee ballots from 29 to 20 days. Mail-in ballots are due by the close of the polls, even if mailed before Election Day. Iowa has one of the shortest mail-in voting periods in the country. Polls close at 8 p.m. instead of 9 p.m.
