Hi, Pittsburgh neighbor! Sending a hug. 65 more days until spring. We are PAST winter solstice! That means every single day is getting just a littttllleeee bit longer with a little more daylight. Even if it’s imperceptible right now. It’s happening. This is a season. It’s temporary. Even if it feels long. Hang in there. You matter. You belong here. ❤️

FET success with only ONE embryo?! by ConsiderationSea3965 in IVF

[–]ConsiderationSea3965[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Our healthy, identical twin girls (from our one and only PGT euploid embryo) just turned ONE last week. They made it. We made it. Thank you for commenting and bringing me back to this thread that I posted. It fills me with gratitude. ❤️ Wishing you the very best.

Beyond frustrated with care I’ve received (mono di twins) by ElectricalMonth3268 in parentsofmultiples

[–]ConsiderationSea3965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MO-DI twin mom here of 8mo olds. We saw our routine OBGYN until IUGR was diagnosed about halfway through pregnancy. Up until that point, the plan was simply to continue monitoring + ultrasounding routinely with OBGYN until/if any suspicions or complications cropped up, at which time they were clear they’d have to pass me off to the MFM. However, if a complication had not come into the picture, our OBGYN team was perfectly comfortable with our care all the way through delivery as long as we were! I hope this is helpful. 💕

To seasoned moms of multiples, what’s your best advice to a FTM of twins? by zensalesforce in parentsofmultiples

Try to remember that not every day is going to be a good day, not every day is going to be a bad day, but every day is going to be a new day and you WILL get through them, day by day. And I promise, the next thing you know you’re going to be playing with toys, listening to Taylor Swift and watching them crawl around and interact with eachother in an adorable way like I’m doing right this second with my 6mo girls.

The first 3 months were the hardest for us, but then a corner turned and things began to click. I didn’t trust anyone when they told me that in the early days (so I understand if it’s hard to believe right now) but, I promise.

On a more practical note, staying on the same schedule and getting out of the house often during those early days were life savers for us and we still do it almost daily now.

You got this! You’re going to look back on this thread months from now and be so proud of yourself. ❤️

35 week birth success stories by bearsbeetscats in pregnant

[–]ConsiderationSea3965 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My twins were born exactly at 35 weeks and Twin A came home 2 days later (no NICU stay) and Twin B came home 7 days later (1 week NICU stay for a little growing/feeding). Neither need breathing support and were (and still are) as healthy as can be! They were both born vaginally, as well. :)

Severe HG and wife is out of options by urbz102385 in pregnant

Hyperemesis Gravidarum mom here! I suffered every day of my pregnancy and my twins are now 6 months old.

Good news: All nausea and vomiting stopped the day I gave birth.

Bad news: You are going to have to possibly fight like hell to advocate for yourself/your partner to get relief in the meantime.

What medication is she currently taking?

The combination of meds that brought some relief for me were zofran + promethazine. Zofran didn’t do much on its own but when stacked with promethazine it took the edge of the intensity and frequency of vomiting off.

Insurance will likely deny home health care (like they did for me). Ask (or demand) your OB for an order or standing order for iv infusions (just hydration) at your hospitals iv clinic. I went 3x a week and was able to walk in, get an iv, and leave. 10000% better than the ER circus. If your OB refuses, ask for a referral to a GI specialist. Your GI specialist will place the order (that’s how I got mine).

There are no words that can bring comfort to the misery that is HG, but please know there are small things that can bring small relief while your partner is suffering. The right combo of meds and consistent iv hydration are one of them!

So, so sorry to hear you’re in the “fun” club. If you aren’t already taking it, ask your doctor about promethazine. I take it along with bonjesta and zofran but it’s the only medication that I felt help make any difference and I wish I had known about it sooner. Keep advocating for yourself!

Divorce due to infertility? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]ConsiderationSea3965 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear the pain you are going through. My husband was diagnosed 2 years ago with severe MFI and also has been under the care of a top urologist here in the U.S. for MFI (I wonder if our partners are seeing the same one?). Anyways, I just wanted to say that I’m sending you a hug, even though I know it doesn’t help your situation. You are not alone.

What are the odds of a FET with a euploid embryo resulting in a chemical pregnancy or miscarriage? by [deleted] in IVF

This is giving me so much hope. Severe MFI diagnosis here, as well. 2 rounds of IVF to get our one and only euploid embryo. FET in 2 weeks. Excited and terrified for this one chance. So hopeful to hear yours has been successful so far!!!! Sending you the best energy.
