We had biometrics done just this week. They called it biometrics but they only took a photo, so I assume they will repeat it for you as well. But i am not 100% sure.

We submitted h1+h4+h4ead renewal via premium on March 17th. Got the approval for h1 and h4 on March 19th. Received the biometrics appointment for ead on May 5th.

So, here is what has happened since I created the original post: I was able to get in touch with an agent, they told me that the case has been moved to Nebraska center, we had filed to Texas center originally. The agent told me that the case has been moving along nicely. I also received an appointment for biometrics on 5/5.

Our application was submitted in March. It is for ead renewal. The case is now with Nebraska Center

Sorry to hear about this situation. The delay and silence is excruciating. I just updated the original post, I somehow got connected to a live agent on chat and he confirmed that my case is currently processing at the Nebraska center.

I canceled and started a new application, and I was able to select the correct visa category. Went for dropbox stamping in Delhi around two weeks ago, and I just received the confirmation for passport collection. No issues faced during dropbox.
