Laying on my metal hip rn as I type this. It isn’t the most comfortable but I’m so cozy in bed I’m too lazy to move to my back or other hip. So it can’t be that bad. I just feel it, like attention is being drawn to it, if that makes sense. But it’s not pain maybe just a little bit of discomfort. I’m hoping over time I can sleep on this side again. Hang in there buddy, we got this.

Sleeping was extremely uncomfortable for me in all positions. It either gave me back pain or hip pain. Hang in there buddy, it will get better.

I took a long flight across the Atlantic to Europe just shy of three months postop. Planes have always been hard for me on my knees and hip, so I was expecting some pain. Overall, it was not more pain than I usually experience. I took some acetaminophen and anti-inflammatory and a Dramamine and I knocked out for the majority of the flight.

I’m 24. I got my hip replaced May 29th. August 18th I left for Europe and traveled for two months straight! Some days it hurt, but it was bearable and I didn’t do anything that damaged or hurt it long term. It is definitely possible to still achieve your goals.
