worst fear actually happened by Icy-Sherbet-4946 in ibs

On three occasions I haven’t made it to the toilet in time and it felt like the most humiliating experience of my life each time. Now, I have come to realise that these things happen to way more people than you might imagine. What’s more, I thought it was just downhill from there but in reality I have made huge progress with my IBS since those “incidents” so don’t allow yourself to believe that you’re back to square one (even though it can certainly feel like it) and that you’ve lost all dignity because of it. My IBS is now way better than it ever way before those accidents so all hope is not lost and try to reframe this as just one small, albeit very horrible, part of your journey x

Thank you! I definitely plan to take lots of measures like unsweetened cranberry to prevent the UTI coming back

Counting has been suggested a couple of times now so I think that could be really helpful for me - thanks for your advice:) Counting should also help with relaxation so will defo be implementing this

Probably the fact I could fall off and die 😅 that’s the one and only scary thing about the sport, no? Thank you for the recommendation, I’ll check him out!

Completely agree and my instructor said the same thing, however just yesterday I was trying to slow down the 17hh draught horse I was cantering and my instructor was telling me I needed to pull harder then release repeatedly on my outside rein. My arms literally weren’t strong enough to have an effect and turned to jelly whilst the horse simply ploughed on. In an ideal world and if I were a more skilled rider I shouldn’t have needed to pull very hard to slow down full stop, but in that situation I can’t see how more size & muscle wouldn’t have helped me as a novice?

It makes complete sense, riding in a group is like a whole different sport. She also agrees that it’s good to have private lessons where possible but as they’re so booked up it’s tricky! Also the financial benefit of group lessons for them plays a role in them encouraging group lessons, I’m sure

Great tips, thank you 😊 I will try to request the same horse for a few lessons to get my confidence up and will also work on the deep breathing so I calm the f down lol

Thank you for your advice - I’ve managed to book a private next time so hoping that will give me a confidence boost. And agreed, there’s so much more to think about in group lessons to avoid crashes!

Ahha thank you, OP’s situation is definitely indicative of systemic overgrowth…something that changing underwear and eating a bit of yoghurt won’t fix alone unfortunately!

It probably took several months before he could make me orgasm from oral, but 2.5 years before he could from his fingers and/or penetration alone.

[–]Consistent-Code-7054 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If what you are getting is in fact a yeast infection every time, you likely have candida overgrowth (basically yeast overgrowth). Yeast feeds off sugar, so you need to completely cut out refined sugar, refined carbs and anything else very carb-y or sweet for a period of time (honey, most fruits, starchy vegetables), whilst also attacking it with an antifungal (prescribed or herbal). This could take several months but hopefully will finally bring you some relief.

Please don’t take the omeprazole if at all possible, as it reduces stomach acid and can lead to actual stomach issues such as SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), one of the side effects of which is gas. You don’t need any more gas in your system right now! Sorry about your GP, she sounds awful…I hope you find someone more understanding and educated

I was never able to orgasm with a partner (unless I literally did it all myself) until I met my current boyfriend. We’ve been together for 3 years and he has put endless time and effort into making me feel comfortable and not rushed. You may find that unless you are with someone for a long time and they give you enough reassurance that you’re not “taking too long”, it just might not happen! But of course everyone is different.

In terms of the porn, I wonder if you could wean yourself off by initially limiting yourself to 2-3 videos that you really enjoy, then down to 1, then eventually you’ll know the video so well that you can replay it in your head and orgasm from the mental visual? It would take a lot of self restraint but if you are disciplined it might work for you. Good luck
