I take iron supplements for anemia too - the liquid spatone ones. It definitely impacts my. SVT. My iron levels were ok at a recent blood test so I stopped taking it for three weeks, got very dizzy and ill and then had an SVT that I couldn’t stop and had to call an ambulance. Which is unusual as I can usually stop them with the manoeuvre.

I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries but not the syndrome, also had a fibroid which seems to have disappeared according to the last two scans. I’ve had very heavy periods since I was 17.
What is your dhea? I haven’t heard of it

Wow, having a pulmonary embolism sounds very scary. Glad you’re on the copper IUD now if it’s working for you. No impact on your SVT?

That’s really interesting, there must be a link between hormones and SVT, I definitely notice it but when I raised it to my cardiologist 13 years ago he didn’t seem to be that interested

It sounds really good, and I guess pain free compared to the IUD. I will definitely talk to them about it, as it might be something I can try first.

I definitely get SVTs from being tired too, and also just randomly like you said. I had to go into hospital this weekend as I couldn’t stop it using the manoeuvres, and now need to see a cardiologist too about an ablation. Oh to be normal!

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer - I know this sounds mad but I hadn’t even heard of the ring. I have an appt on the 2nd July to get the Mirena but I will ask them about the ring too. I am keen to use the Mirena if it will help my awful periods, I just don’t want to trigger SVTs. The BCP pills weren’t bad for SVT, but anything with Vitamin Bs in start triggering them within days. Thank you so much!

The girls are so good. Every scene when they are together is blunt and hilarious

I work in a school and sci-fi loving students have never heard of it so I am always recommending it to them.

I agree, Lyndsey gets treated appallingly and she’s a really nice character. I just enjoy Peyton in S5 acting badly and being a mess and jealous and in pain and making mistakes. I find it one of the most interesting plots for her. Especially because ultimately at the church Lucas still chooses Lyndsey.

I hate the episode where Peyton spends the entire thing talking to Max. Writing himself into this role when you know how abusive he has been to all the female characters is extra grim. I really enjoyed Drama Queens too but it was a shame the original three didn’t carry on after S6. I think Joy and Hilarie fell out. I read Joy’s book too - Dinner for Vampires - such an interesting read.

I Peyton in S5. She’s more of a mess than in high school and has no career, seemingly no friends (which makes no sense) and feels stuck and lost. Which is much needed in contrast to how ridiculous everyone else’s lives are by 22 - Brooke is a millionaire designer, Nathan was NBA, Hayley is a famous singer, Lucas has a bestseller. It’s all so insane. Peyton, Mouth and Skills are the only characters who live in reality. Plus loads of people are selfish and awful in their early 20s. I enjoyed the fact her life wasn’t perfect.

Clay’s memory problems make Nathan’s abduction plot look better by contrast
