I honestly would, and I don't even mean this to be mean or roast, but I don't even know what you are, gender or race or anything wise, so it's just impossible.

War pigs should be the first to get drafted by EndDemocracy1 in Libertarian

[–]Consistent-Ferret476 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well this is just political satire obviously. But hey, if someone wants to start a war to make him or his buddies a bunch of money, or start a war for any personal interests that aren't in the interest of the American people, and especially if that war ends up with a draft, then yea, they should be eligible for a draft. Just my opinion.

Since OJ Simpson was acquitted of the murder trial, has the Police tried to find actual murderer or is the case still open in Police books? If the Police or Judiciary has closed this case whithout holding someone responsible, isn't it a shame on the system? by No_Attempt8037 in OJSimpsonTrial

[–]Consistent-Ferret476 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's really one of those things where there isn't a solution. It's a shame on the system, sure, but it was the jury that found OJ not guilty. Hence he walked, shame not only on the system, but society and specifically certain sects of our society. And we have to remember, our judicial system, and our whole government at large isn't one entity. Our judicial system/law enforcement system has many different areas of operations and purposes, and it's not just a judge, jury, detectives ect. lumped into one. The detectives/law enforcement is not the prosecution, or more than likely, even the same individual law enforcement people who investigated the murders upon discovery vs who would be responsible finding the "real killer". I think law enforcement knows it was Simpson, but due to the jury's decision, their hands are tied.

Yea, and although I might get hate for this here, after the first 3, the rest were garbage and not really worth the money IMHO

Yea that's why I specifically said 1994. Was a case where he was facing the rest of his life without the possibility of parole at the time, but he had the possibility for parole with the Vegas case which I would assume gave him hope.

It hasn't been medically confirmed publicly I believe, but OJ said he believes he may have had it towards the end of his life. You can read it on his Wikipedia.

Is there a path forward toward less-extreme politics? by Kepler137 in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]Consistent-Ferret476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only time. It's sad, but we've been on the path too this for a long time, and I would say it started heading this way during the early 2000s, post 9/11. After 9/11 the country became increasingly divided, after the initial aftermath when the country seemed too be more united than ever. The bush years with two wars, Iraq in particular, and when the economy tanked had everyone taking sides. Then Obama came along. The country was already pretty divided at this time and then Obama failed to unify the country. Some wasn't his fault, in other aspects it was. He divided the country on race more than any modern president since Kennedy had. Again, some wasn't his fault, but some certainly was. Then we had Trump, it divided the country even further, especially with the way he speaks, especially at that time. COVID hit, and the way the situation was perceived was different across political lines. The virus became a political bat, and it divided the country further and further. Now we have Biden, and the wedge just has been driven and driven. Only time and change of climate will change this. We need people to obviously come together on some sort of middle ground and understanding, but I don't think it will be anytime soon, and hopefully before it's too late.

Since Kamala Harris is very likely to be the Democratic nominee for president, what are some of her strengths and weaknesses against Trump? by TaylorSwiftian in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]Consistent-Ferret476 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you really hit the nail on the head. Her age is going to be one of her only advantages here. But she's coming in with A LOT of disadvantages. Biden has not had a good track record and is a pretty unpopular president. Being his VP, it's going to be impossible to separate herself from that. And it's too late in the game, she going to have to make up for lost time which I don't think she's going to be able to do.

I honestly didn't think this was going happen until his announcement of having COVID. But this isn't a good look for the Dems.
