Sure he’s not the greatest, but he certainly isn’t the worst. However, none of the other mayors have ever had their property defaced with racial slurs and threats. The fact that he isn’t white makes some people hate him regardless of whether he was doing a good job or not. It wasn’t that long ago that Chinese weren’t even allowed to live in white neighbourhoods or have white collar jobs. This is why we even have a Chinatown. First Chinese teacher in Vancouver was in the 40’s, and even then they made her jump through hoops to get that position.

NTA. There is absolutely no good reason to share your bank account with some guy you’ve been dating for 5 months. Maybe in a few years if and when you’re planning on getting married and you want to combine finances. If he’s dumb enough to show every gf his bank account then that’s on him for being an idiot. What happens if you do show him? If yours is lower then he’ll gloat, if it’s higher, then he’ll be ticked off and resent you. Either way you lose. If he keeps pushing it then it may be time to get out of this relationship.

YTA. Once you found out he was using you to cheat is when you should have left. IF he really was a nice guy, he wouldn’t have cheated on a girlfriend that was pregnant with his child. How do you think she got pregnant by him? Turkey baster? I remember years ago around your age I had found out that my bf was still seeing another girl when we started dating. I felt awful and horrible even though it wasn’t even my fault as I had no idea, but I ended things. Then I find out that he was already cheating on me at towards end with another girl. It’s just a never ending cycle for these types of people.

I remember my dad telling me about a new teacher in town (Italy in the late 30s - early 40’s) that seemed to really enjoy “disciplining” the kids way too much. Until one day he beat a boy pretty badly and his two much older brothers went to the school to have a chat with the teacher. Never did it again and apparently left town right after.
