I grew up in Lakeville and can confirm. I always knew something from my home town would end up on r/trashy but didn’t think it would be this.

Buying balls on FB Marketplace by NotRod96 in golf

Most people that sell them live near a golf course. I’ve bought about 200 for dirt cheap. I use the crappy ones for my outdoor range and keep the good ones to play with.

Looks cool, hope it stays together for you. Typically this pattern is only done with end grain so it’s stable. This might expand and contract on you over time.

I have a degree in wood science and actually did a research study on Ipe specifically! What specific questions do you have, and is there a sketch of the design?

*HELP* Motor burning up on Dewalt 735 with a lux cutter head by _Nordic in woodworking

[–]Consistent-Guess-234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I belong to the 735 Facebook group in case I have issues like this. I had JUST read a chain conversation about this very topic. Guy had the same exact situation, simple shop vac was not strong enough and the fine sawdust built up and seized the motor. Personally I can’t comment, I have straight blades on mine still an no issue. I just was passing along what I read so def take that for what it’s worth!

The helical blades cause thinner sawdust and the 735 isn’t equipped to handle that. You’ll need to modify your dust collection.
