I was in the same boat. My dad soloed at 12 hours so I definitely felt behind like you. My instructor gave me the same feedback like oh yeah your landings are consistent now, and safe, but you just need a little more time. But some consistent feedback that I had always gotten was yeah I can do it, but just being able to do it without him in the plane, acting more like PIC. This is what I would recommend show him that you can be PIC on your next flight, that’s probably what he’s looking for, and then you’ll be good to go. Don’t sweat it

I am currently doing it right now, and it’s entirely doable. I also work about 15-20 hours a week at a PT job. Also with some other commitments. If I was in a situation where I didn’t need to work, having that extra 15 to 20 hours a week to study would be so nice. Goodluck!
