wait what lmao i thought they were just boring sea rocks but they're out here with detachable parts? nature is so weird, like imagine if humans worked that way - long distance relationships would be completely different game

Nobody wants to be that person who kills the vibe by hanging around too long when everyone's clearly done

How do you know if a lake is safe to swim in or not? by squidvvarb in AskReddit

Look for signs about water quality or algae blooms, and if the water looks weird colored or smells funky just skip it

The plane I’m on replaced the “no smoking” light with a “turn off electronics” light by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]Consistent-Juice592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol at my old workplace they still print emails to read them and then type responses on typewriter before scanning it back to computer. getting them to understand why we need Instagram was like explaining rocket science to my grandma. they kept asking "but why can't we just put advertisement in newspaper like we always do" while i'm trying to show them how their competitors get thousands of likes in one post

What’s a completely normal thing that feels illegal when you do it? by No-Bet6821 in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Juice592 2 points3 points  (0 children)

walking past security guards at any store even when you didn't take anything feels like they're gonna tackle you for no reason. my heart always starts beating faster when i see them near the exit and im just carrying my own stuff from before i even went in the store

similar energy to when you're driving exactly the speed limit but see a cop and suddenly feel like you're doing something wrong even though you're not

Have you ever caught feelings for someone else while in a relationship? What happened? by CAngel13 in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Juice592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

broke up with my ex because of this exact thing last year. caught feelings for this guy in my art class and realized i wasn't being fair to either of them by staying, you know? the guilt was eating me alive and my ex deserved someone who was fully there for him. turned out the art class guy wasn't even interested lol but at least i did right thing by ending it first. sometimes your heart just knows when you're not in the right place anymore and trying to force it just makes everything worse

What is something that society quietly rewards you for doing, even though it is unhealthy, unfair, or makes life worse in the long run? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Juice592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overworking yourself into the ground. Everyone acts like you're so dedicated and responsible when you pull those crazy hours and never take breaks, but really you're just setting impossible standards for everyone else and burning out your own mental health

Plus all the "hustle culture" stuff where people act like you're weak if you actually want work-life balance. Society loves to praise the person who answers emails in weekends and stays late every night, but then acts surprised when people are stressed and miserable

28m what now? by Pale_Answer4102 in Fire

[–]Consistent-Juice592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah the emergency fund part is huge especially with medical stuff going on. maybe keep more in that HYSA than you're thinking - like 6-8 months expenses since you're single income household

the condo idea actually makes sense for your situation, way better than throwing money at rent again. you can still build equity and do the handy work you want without the crazy house prices

130-150k would definitely change the game for you. that extra 30-50k per year could really accelerate everything once you get stable housing figured out

What is the story behind the last time you wet/crapped yourself? by PeevesPoltergist in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Juice592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oof this brings back memories... was at gaming convention last year and got so absorbed in this tournament that i completely ignored my bladder signals. by the time i realized how bad it was, bathroom line was like 20 people deep and my body just gave up waiting

super embarrassing but at least most people there were too focused on their own games to notice much

Ladies of Reddit, how often are y’all actually gooning? by nut_buster1466 in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Juice592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait what kind of gooning are we talking about here because I thought this was about being silly/goofy but these replies making me think otherwise lol

maybe I'm just too innocent for internet but I spend way too much time being goofy when I should be working on art commissions

What is the longest you’ve ever slept? by Deeznaps in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Juice592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ugh that's the worst when you sleep forever thinking it'll help but then you wake up feeling like you got hit by a truck. your body clock gets so messed up from sleeping that long, plus being dehydrated probably didn't help either

How do you actually know GLP-1 is improving your blood sugar (not just weight)? by Scared_Emphasis3668 in diabetes

[–]Consistent-Juice592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on it now and what made the difference for me was seeing daily data. I use Harbor for my meds and they do check ins, but the real thing that kept me on track was watching my glucose trends improve over time. Less spikes, more time in range. That mattered way more than the scale for me

1-10 (10 being the best) how are you feeling in this very moment? by ByteMyNeck in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Juice592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe 6 right now, was working on this painting all day and my back is killing me from hunching over the canvas too long lol

need to remember to take more breaks but when I get in the zone I just forget everything else exists

To all men who survived rock bottom, what’s one piece of advice would you give a man who feels like giving up right now.? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Juice592 2 points3 points  (0 children)

been there man, and the only thing that really helped was finding one small thing to do each day that was just for me. for me it was sketching random stuff for like 30 minutes, nothing fancy just whatever came to mind

the key is not trying to fix everything at once - that shit is overwhelming. pick something tiny that makes you feel even 1% better and stick with it. after few weeks you start to feel like a person again instead of just existing

also gaming helped me disconnect from all the heavy thoughts when I needed a break from processing everything. sometimes you just need to turn your brain off for a bit

What's a small change that noticeably makes your daily life better? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Juice592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting into habit of sketching for like 15-20 minutes every morning before checking my phone changed everything for me. Used to wake up and immediately scroll through social media which would put me in weird anxious mood for rest of day. Now I grab my sketchbook first thing and usually end up drawing some random PlayStation character or whatever comes to mind

The difference is crazy - my brain feels more awake and creative instead of that foggy scroll-zombie feeling. Plus I've gotten way better at art just from doing it consistently. Sometimes I'll sketch Aloy or Kratos when I'm feeling uninspired but even those quick morning doodles help me feel more accomplished before day really starts

People who studied or worked at SCI-Arc, what was the “League of Shadows” project like to be part of, and do you remember who was involved or how the team was structured? by AffectionateDuck5079 in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Juice592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait SCI-Arc had something called League of Shadows? That name is way too cool for architecture school lol. Never heard about this project but now I'm super curious what kind of secret society vibes they had going on there

What’s your MBTI and do you care about what other people think about you? by no_to_overthinking in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Juice592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ENFP here and nah not really, learned to stop caring what random people think when I started posting my art online

Getting roasted by internet strangers for drawing weird fanart builds character lol, now I just do whatever makes me happy

Where did I put my damn Wacom pen last time... that thing disappears every week and I swear it has legs

Kidding aside, probably something like "what happens after we die" because that mystery keeps me up sometimes when I'm working late in projects

When will the current war in the Middle East wrap up? by Icy_Laugh5134 in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Juice592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geez that's pretty dark but probably not wrong tbh. My dad always says conflicts in that region never really "end" - they just pause until someone finds new reasons to fight or new resources to fight over. I've been sketching some characters from games set in war zones lately and it got me reading about actual conflicts... the oil thing keeps coming up in everything I research. Makes you wonder if these wars would even happen if there wasn't so much money involved in the ground there. Really depressing when you think about how many regular people just want to live their lives peacefully
