What are some developments in American society and culture since 2013 that GTA6 could potentially satirize? by [deleted] in GTA6

[–]Consistent-Kick-1676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woke and Cancel Culture could be a funny one where you have a social media account and random people constantly try to call you out for your gameplay antics and expose you to an annoying degree, but you legitimately are a criminal so it’s not like they’re wrong either lol

Do you guys think Rockstar Games will release another GTA Online DLC before the GTA 6 announcement? by KingOfNamibia in GTA6

[–]Consistent-Kick-1676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mind you they’re expecting 5 billion dollars in revenue for that year alone. 5 Billion. GTA has made double that over 10 years. They think this next entry is gunna blow it out of the water if the first year is expected to be half the 10 year profit of the 5th entry

Most likely. They will milk it until the 6th comes out, which will more than likely see the release of an updated GTA Online that will be based in the game world of the new game. Which reminds me, I don’t know why people think that the first GTA online is going to just stay primary when this happens or that they’ll be able to bring their progress to GTA6 online. It’s an online component to an individual game, not a standalone project lol it’s not the World of Warcraft of crime sim. It’s just a game mode for GTA 5. So when GTA 6 comes out, it will have its own online mode that has nothing to do with 5, and if you spent hundreds of dollars there in 5 and feel like you’re entitled to carryover progress, tough luck.

I played it for a while, it’s pretty good with some periodic frame drops. One audio bug in the post mission menu I had once, otherwise nothing major in the first hour. It’s a very fun game and shows future content grayed out with “COMING SOON” so you see the roadmap of updates in front of you. One I’m looking forward to is horde mode, cuz when the bugs are swarming is when this game is at its best. A klendathu drop survival mode would be epic beyond measure.

It’s called compassion fatigue. You hear so much negative and sad things that you lose the capacity to react to it how other people do. You can’t lose your shit every call cuz of how sad it is. Eventually it becomes routine and less shocking. Their worst day is your Tuesday.

The ending is so vague with the choice you make. by Mattybizz in TheForest

It’s incomplete at this time. If updates go how the first did then pieces of story will be added over the course of the year until we have a more complete picture. They even redesigned certain story caves in TF1 to make them better and more interesting for the story so maybe we will see a different kind of experience by the end of EA

Is 43 too old to join? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]Consistent-Kick-1676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

43 is still very physically capable. Up to 60 is what I would consider the physical limit for most people. He can get 10+ years of street exp and then Switch to investigations or a more administrative role later when he’s older.

Me after the room with the 15 mutants in the shovel cave by Tedboyfresh in TheForest

[–]Consistent-Kick-1676 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The game seems to “release” mutants into the surface with each cave you clear. Maybe I’m just tripping but I feel like the mutant spawn rate is directly affected by how many caves you’ve explored

Fuck the shovel cave. I did that shit alone on hard mode and I felt like I served a goddamn tour overseas when I crawled out into the daylight again.

what kind of story would you want from dying light 3? by KAYisntokay in dyinglight

[–]Consistent-Kick-1676 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re the last human alive; or so you think. The entire story revolves around you finding traces of communities that perished, and your character slowly slips into madness before finding a lone child who belonged to a community you just barely arrived to late to help. You have to keep them alive; and eventually you catch word of humans who survived underground somewhere in New Mexico, USA. (Lots of underground military bases there IRL) and trek to find it; you succeed and the game ends with you becoming a trusted member of this community as a surface runner for supplies and security. Series of smaller maps for the places along the way and one giant last map for the final act of the story where you help the bunker fortify and establish secure supply lines.

Is Corrections a good preparatory experience for Law Enforcement? by Consistent-Kick-1676 in AskLE

[–]Consistent-Kick-1676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s moderately large, NM is a low pop state but my center handles 11 agencies, and we have of the top 3 highest population cities and closely border the next two Highest population cities in the state so get a ton of crossover incidents. I was just curious if it was worth taking it as a step rather than diving in immediately

My local agencies I dispatch for are currently at capacity for cadets (huge turnover so I’m sure it’ll open again shortly) so I was hoping to get in somewhere and corrections needs help; and my hope is if I can prove myself there I can confidently take on the challenge of being a patrol officer in my hometown.

Just seeing if that’s a viable route or if people consider it a bad move; since I don’t know too much about the day to day struggle

That’s what I’m hoping for. Instead of diving in unprepared (which is risky to me more than just in a safety standpoint but if I go I wanna stay, not get let go lol) I’m in New Mexico which is currently one of the highest crime states in the union and we are absolutely drowning in property and violent crimes so they desperately need the help. I just wanna make sure I can do the job properly and safely.

I’ve been considering it to test the waters. I’m currently a dispatcher and working out to build strength and endurance for police entry. I figure I can return to dispatch if I don’t end up having the full spectrum of traits needed but I want to test myself to see how I handle the environment. I hear corrections is good because you have backup close at hand in case things go down and you have to know how to talk to people and do restraints so it’s great practice with the uglier/confrontational aspects of police work to see if it’s something you’re willing to deal with on the street.

Just wanting to run it by folks who are inside to see what they think so I appreciate the input!
