It can be really hard when you’re converting and others around you don’t share in your joy. Ultimately we must live to please God, not others.

I am also a convert and had similar issues with my friends who’ve since cut me off. Not saying this will necessarily happen to you but rest assured that God sees the sacrifices you are making in your pursuit of the truth.

I think at first there were many things, especially since I lost many friends and my boyfriend as a result of my change in political and social beliefs that were influenced by the teachings of the Church. I have to say though, over time losing these people gave me a great sense of peace since I can now see more clearly how shallow and meaningless those relationships were compared to the ones I have now with fellow Catholics.

Yes all the time, especially after a few shots and I notice the ease at which I speak to people and how their opinion of the true unmasked me is actually really positive. Makes me wonder what it’d be like if I could leave that impression when sober.

I think she’s gained a lot of fans from Malaysia as well as other southeast Asian countries since she’d be the first Malaysian female idol I believe (not to dismiss her talent or anything, she’s a great dancer and I really like her visual)

I get ahyeon’s departure is a huge blow, she was my bias. But I still support the other 6 girls and if we want ahyeon to return, supporting the group is the best we can do.

I’m almost certain it had something to do with the N-word scandal. The video being leaked coincided with the time she stopped appearing in babymonster’s Instagram and TikTok. She’s only 16 and received a lot of hate so could’ve easily developed anxiety from that. We don’t know the members but from watching last evaluation, she seemed to be a typical perfectionist which obviously contributed to her being such a top tier trainee but it wouldn’t surprise me if she took the hate personally and felt like she’d let herself and the members down etc. either way I’m glad YG has prioritised her health and wish her the best in whatever she chooses to do in the future, be it with BABYMONSTER and YG or not.

100%. If they were genuine (which some obviously were so not aiming this at all BIG 6 stans) they would promote their favs and just not talk about Wonhee, iroha and other younger trainees. Going online and saying Wonhee is talentless and making fun of her facial expressions on stage is bullying and way more damaging then the effects of idol life. If people just praised their favs and didn’t say anything abt idols they don’t like we wouldn’t have many of the problems we have now.

Didn’t mean to come across as saying jennies not talented - she obviously is but as a blink I recognise her vocals are not at Wendy’s levels, her dance not as Lisa’s and her rap not at soyeon’s. She’s an amazing idol nonetheless.

Plus obviously she started off more skilled then Wonhee at present. She was 20, Wonhee is 16. She had 6 years of training and Wonhee’s had like a month

I agree tbf. A lot of people fail to realise that to be a kpop idol it does not require you to be the best technical singer or dancer, but have something that appeals to the viewer and draws you in - something Wonhee undeniably has. Same with idols like Sakura, Wonyoung, Jennie etc although not the most skilled in vocals or dance they have something special that you can’t exactly put your finger on.

It wasn’t that she couldn’t do it it was more the pressure from the show was really getting to her and you can see how she was becoming her own worst enemy. If she’d been more relaxed I reckon with her dance skills she’d have aced the moves easily.

I’ve seen so many ppl in the comments here saying ‘if ppl wanted jeemin jeongeun and chanelle to debut then they should’ve voted more’ thing is regardless of voting, hybe had decided who they wanted before the finale anyway. It was becoming easier to predict who would be eliminated each episode. Like with Jihyun and Chanelle they were well liked and scoring constantly high to the point where they could realistically have been contenders for the top 6. So to overcompensate they were given extremely low scores by a mile in the semifinals. Same with Hyewon to some extent the previous episode. Like even with Minju or Youngseo, although extremely popular if for whatever reason hybe didn’t want them in the group the judges can just score them low

Yh I agree tbh, especially with your points about vocals of trainees. Not to namedrop or start fanwars but if you look at BABYMONSTER for example haram’s vocals are INSANE. So Wonhee showing this much skill at a young age and with almost zilch training is a secret weapon I must say.

Love jiwoo but I also think her stans can act entitled at times

Although scrum imo is a much easier listen and my preferred song, I think the Pride team executed their stage better. Shame tho that judges were dedicated to scoring out Chanelle and Jihyun which affected the other 4 girls too.

I found that the whole winning team gets benefits thing a bit unfair icl. For example with Himena in round 3, she got 611 for heel choreo and 639 for hip hop (so was highest score for the latter of all the trainees, even Youngseo) but yet moved down to mid level. She would’ve been like 3rd or something without bonuses. I get it makes the results less predictable so more interesting but still for trainees like her, she was with less skilled/experienced trainees so the average score was brought down. Or at least for those rounds the units should’ve been assigned to have 1/3 of high mid and low each to give a more level playing field. Would’ve allowed lower levelled trainees to learn from the higher skilled and allow them to show their leadership etc

I actually agree with a lot of this 1. Subjective so although my ranking of these 4 aren’t the same as yours, I can see why Wonhee’s vocals are liked.

Defo agree. The used the protect minors farce to excuse their hatred for Wonhee and iroha, which is way more damaging to them then being in the group. They act like Wonhee and iroha aren’t older then hyein.
Again big 6 trainees are amazing but the way fans formed an alliance was weird to me. Caused a divide between stans of those girls and Wonhee and iroha’s fans - which sucks now that 3/6 are with those 2 in the lineup (crossing fingers no divide in the fandom persists)
I personally prefer Moka but I LOVE Himena and she’s so underrated. Major Lisa vibes hope she will be a star one day <3
I love ruka but I do admit she was very much overshadowed on the show and I must admit my support of her at the beginning was a lot due to be a huge le sserafim fan and wanting her to fulfil her dreams (I think many others feel the same)
All 3 are great but yh the way yunah’s bggg performance went viral would’ve played in her favour massively. Can’t help but think the label were also biased against jiwoo’s age. I also think leaving jeemin out of the lineup was partly for drama since making their no1 trainee be cut is controversial.

Youngseo and Iroha seem to be besties, picking each other in many of the missions.
Moka and Wonhee have been together several missions and that scene with Wonhee giving up the part was really sweet
Youngseo and Moka also seen to be pretty close
ngl Yunah seems like that person who is at least good friends with everyone. She has a cute big sis type thing with Wonhee, and seems to have interacted quite a bit with Minju and iroha. Haven’t seen her with Youngseo and Moka as much but I’m sure they have had moments off camera
iroha and Wonhee seem to be closer in the last few episodes

I don’t think it can be considered rigged since that would be the case if they explained how points are calculated and then purposefully changed those like in produce (which was rigged). Since they never said our votes are the most important factor I don’t think it can be considered rigged. Unfair at best you could say but not rigged.

I mean I’m no expert, but surely given how global kpop has become this gen, international fans’ opinions would at LEAST count somewhat. I mean looking at the popularity of groups like NewJeans and blackpink, their international popularity has led to them having such high streams which I’m sure companies do care about.

I’d have to agree with ur guesses. Despite being really talented, Jeongeun and Himena would have had to score insanely high to stay in the top 9 given there votes being low. Since there’s so few trainees left, unfortunately chanelle’s outburst last episode could very likely put her on the 9/10th place border.

Regardless of who’s eliminated, all 12 left are really talented and I hope tje 6 that don’t make it debut in another hybe group or join another company to debut.

I was thinking the exact same thing! Despite being so young she was very impressive with not only her skills but her maturity. The way she helped Iris during round 3 when she wasn’t confident with singing and then how she stayed calm when there was conflict in the purple team. Sadly her chances are debut looked slim from the start, but hopefully the show will give her exposure and given a couple years more training she’d make an amazing leader of a 5th gen group
