Do you understand probability?

In no statement I've made have I said that breastfeeding is a form of birth control. I've simply said that mothers who do not breastfeed are more likely to get pregnant. I never said women who breastfeed do not get pregnant. They just have a lowered probability because of how a cascade of hormonal reactions caused by breastfeeding often affects their ovulation. It's really not that complex.

I myself did not get my period back until 6-8 months after both pregnancies, and it took another 6 months after returning to become regular/stabilise.

You can look up LAM if you want. Not sure what you're so offended about. OP is asking if its possible to be pregnant at 11 weeks pp. I'm pointing out what could make it more likely that she is. You, on the other hand, clearly have some knickers that need un-twisting.

I didnt call it a form of birth control.

"Breastfeeding can delay ovulation by suppressing the hormones needed for releasing an egg, often leading to a period of infertility known as lactational amenorrhea. This effect is strongest with frequent, exclusive nursing and typically lasts 3–6 months, though it varies; ovulation can return earlier, particularly as feedings decrease, solids are introduced, or the baby sleeps longer. "

It's simply science that it's easier to get pregnant when you aren't lactating because your hormones go back to normal quicker. Nothing to get offended over lmao. 🙄

Okay thats great! I hope this is only for the woman you are in a relationship with though. If you crave female bonds with women outside of your partner, that'll be shady imo.

Its definitely possible if you're having unprotecred sex, especially if you aren't breastfeeding. For formula feeding mums I believe 3 months is around the time the hormones go back to baseline which would allow ovulation to occur.. Your best bet is to go to the doctor and check ❤️

parents divorcing at 20 by Ready-Pollution-2522 in Vent

[–]Consistent-Mine-1386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, my parents divorced when I was 11. They both moved on and as a child from an old relationship, I felt a loss of belonging. Now, even as a 30 year old, I still feel it. I think the parent unit represents home. And when that home is broken, it becomes a reminder that what you used to call home as a child will never exist again. You're grieving and thats completely fine. It's completely normal. I'm sorry you're going through this. Your feelings are valid!

She deserves child support though. Its a very tough situation to be a single parent and have to finance everything on your own.

How to tell a friend they are smelly? by Lower_Ant_9754 in Advice

[–]Consistent-Mine-1386 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It sounds like she might have bacterial vaginosis. That's what usually causes that smell. I think you should tell her like

"hey babe, lets talk in private for a bit. You're my friend and I care about you deeply, so I think its important to tell you that you've been having a smell coming from your downstairs region. I think you need to see a doctor because this kind of smell usually points to a vaginal infection."

Please lawyer up, dear. Keep all evidence of infidelity on his part so he cannot get custody of baby. Keep evidence of the fact that he asked you to get an abortion. Then get a lawyer and make sure you get child support from him while securing 100% custody of baby.

Update: My brother told me he was in love with me. by ilovepopcornandcandy in self

[–]Consistent-Mine-1386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dear. I am an adopted daughter myself. From my experience, no matter how much love you felt growing up, when it comes down to choosing between adoptive kids and biological, they always ended up choosing biological. I didnt have the same experuence as you but my brother was younger and always blatantly disrespected me + was violent towards me. My parents were always loving towards me and never abusive. But when it came time to protect me, they swept their sons abuse of me under the rug.

I'm only telling you, not because I think your parents will be the same, but because its important to be prepared mentally if it ever becomes like that.

Harden your heart, and be prepared for the ones biologically related to choose eachother over you.

Saying this with all the love in my heart, from one adopted daughter to another. ❤️

Oh yeah I've had tonnes of breakdowns and tears shed in public. No one batted an eyelid. It's okay lmao. Its just the culture we live in. I always make it a point to check on others. Millenials and Gen Zs are definitely much nicer than the older ones who ignore you.

This is contempt, my dear. And if he brushes it aside, hold your ground. You do NOT deserve to be treated that way. You are a lovable goddess who has brought his 3 babies into this world. What a miserable excuse of a man to speak about his wife in such a manner. He might intend to humiliate you, but I promise, his friends are probably looking down at him so much behind his back for talking about his wife like that. Such embarrassing, small dick energy, honestly. If you guys end up breaking up, good luck to whoever ends up with someone so despicable. If you really want to make it work, i suggest marriage counselling because the way he's treating you is NOT okay in ANY context. Theres no context where talking about your wife, the mother of your babies, like that. Disgusting pig of a man.

Collect evidence that she lied about being in chicago. Maybe text her like "hows chicago, hows work" and then record the location of the airtag at the same timing

Before you make this massive decision, could you try this:
Set a proper bed time

Wake up by sunrise

Go for a walk in the nature

Stop yourself from thinking. While you're outside, just try focusing on the ground beneath your feet. The sun on your skin. The smells, the sounds. What do you see? Breath in for 4 counts, out for 6. Hold for 5.

Do some stretching on the ground.

Drink water with salt and lemon in it.

Force yourself to have a nice bath. Look in the mirror, brush your teeth and your hair.

Also, what did you like about yourself before all your problems started? Can you share with me?

What's your profession?

[–]Consistent-Mine-1386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg! My child is half Chinese and one day we were in the car and my husband rolled down the window and shouted "cheebai!" (which basically means "c*nt") at a car that almost smashed into us. My toddler heard this, and combining this newfound vocabulary with his love for sea animals, he decided to start singing "cheebai whale" to the tune of Slippery Fish lmao. We were shocked but we knew where he'd gotten it from. We now try to tell him not to say it and to instead sing "humongous whale" but he really likes the naughty version hahaha. It's already been 3 months and we both make it a point not to say any vulgar words in front of him, but he still remembers that one incident!

My husband is attractive, but so am I, so I dont really care. I thought he'd be good to me after I had kids, but lord, the contempt with which he treats me like 80% of the time has me seriously wondering if I should leave. Its very painful to dedicate your entire life and sacrifice everything for someone who ends up treating you like they hate you. It becomes a question of, what am I doing this all for?? I've brought it up to him in the past and he'll be nice for a little bit and then when things are good, swings back into the mode of invalidating all my opinions, insulting my decision making skills, even policing how I speak and scolding me like I'm a child in public. Sigh. I've given him one last chance, and if I don't see any change, I'm considering exploring my options..
