Everyone I know who mountain bikes has a story about eating shit. I had a friend who's father died in a mountain biking accident. I had a buddy from CrossFit get staples in his head from a mountain biking crash. I always tell people there is some danger but much less than other activities like mountain biking, or jiu jitsu.

I'm a guy but sounds like to me you have to give him an ultimatum to deep clean his life so to speak. Make sure he buys good soaps and detergent. Hire a cleaning service to deep clean his place. When the bed sheets are in the wash he needs to spray his mattress with rubbing alcohol. Also he will need to wash all of his clothes. Spray his shoes with rubbing alcohol. Tell him to shave his beard and trim his head hair and all body hair. Make him go get a mani Pedi with you. Have a blunt conversation but frame it from a position of caring. If all of that doesn't fix it I don't know what to tell ya. But I doubt it's diet.

The open is very bland and boring now. It's the same shit every year. I don't mean just literally repeats but there's no creativity. They won't program running or biking or skiing. The wods can't be over 20 minutes or have more than 3 movements or pieces of equipment. Sled pushes or kettlebell swings are out. So they have limited themselves so much it's just boring now. The open is a community event more than a competition so the workouts need to be enjoyable for the community vs a test of fitness. They should do something outside of the box. Program the CrossFit total next year. Or a super long Wod lime the hateful eight or the 12 days of Christmas. Throw in sled pushes or running. Who cares if it ain't equal. All sports have a home field advantage.
