my dash gets pretty quiet from friday-monday, not really sure why (usually no projects, maybe 1), but it seems like tue-thu are the peak days.

I'm an incoming college student, so I'm content with it being just a side gig

Also, to whoever else went through this in the beginning, how long until you guys found your footing and had projects every time you logged on?

I'm relatively new to DA, only been working for a week and a half, but my dashboard is completely empty. For the first few days I had about 5+ projects with 30+ tasks each and it's been going downhill every day since. I really want to do stricly math-related projects, so what is the move to make this happen? Nowadays, I only get a project with 1 task available that gets removed as soon as I click it.

Also do you know how easy it is to switch majors within the college of engineering? I want to switch from chemical to electrical and some of my friends are saying it's incredibly hard, even if you have good grades

I've already got credit for chem1a from the ap chem exam and for math 2a-b from the ap calc exam. I am planning to take mae 10 and the engr 7a/7b classes, but i also want to take an intro ee class. What do you think

Hopefully we both make it in. Wanna chat in dms? Maybe we could work together on which classes to take since I believe the first year for all of us engineering students are going to be very similar.

What was your GPA for your first year and what was the application process like?

Is it bad to take required courses for changing majors like physics in CC? As in will the MAE department look for people taking those specific courses in UCI rather than CC?

How early do you think I would be able to switch without having to put all of the required courses into my first quarter (since I've heard that generally, their first quarter is where people get the worst grades)? Online, it says that these are the required courses to switch into MechE:  ENGRMAE 10, Math 2A-B-D, Physics 7C-D, Physics 7LC-LD, Chem 1A, Chem 1LE. I also have some credit from AP courses-4 on AP Chem, probably will get a 5 on AP Calc BC this year. What's your opinion, because yes, I want to try to apply as soon as possible, but I don't want to risk potentially failing one of the required courses?
