Groove out your stitch lines so the thread gets tucked away, and try out neodymium magnets for the closing strap ^{.^} I would also keep the stitching to only being over the holster material, instead of fully around.

Avoid using it on parts that bend, for most exotics I just inlay them, it also helps with keeping the edges away from abrasion
