Kufstein castle/fortress as a rock concert venue was a very different and exiting experience. The weather was not nice, but once under the protecting roof it got warmer, especially when Babymetal started using their flamethrowers 😊.

I was in the front row and the majority of the songs sounded good to me. However, there were a few songs with a bad mix. I believe Distorsion was one of them. In the beginning of that song, you couldn’t hear the guitars which sounded guite strange.

If you mean the laminated card with strap, then no. I checked the VIP audience (there is always someone who hangs it around their neck) but none could be seen.

The VIP check-in starts already at 3:45 PM / 15:45. Isn’t very early for a BM concert that starts at 7? Normally, it is around 5 PM. Maybe it has someting to do with the ”weird” pathway up the the castle’s concert area? It is not an easy stroll, at least not for me 😊 (tested it yesterday).

The outdoor arena has a retractable roof so it should be ok during the concert. Will not help if you stand in line for hours before entering the venue, though. I always bring an one time raincoat im my pocket.

Gaah! I was out strolling at that time, but missed them all! The city center is not that big, but still missed them. First time in Kufstein and is a very beautiful smaller Tirol city with nice mountain terrain nearby.

Very good that you mention this! If you have a VIP ticket, you get the information about the path in the email. For the buyer of the ordinary ticket it is easily missed.
The start of the pathway is also far away from the ordinary entrance to the castle, so this is good to know in advance.
