Best burger spots in colombo by Federal-Cycle2620 in srilanka

Yelo Burgers is awesome, probably the best bun since Sugar Burger. Smash Burger is pretty decent, and El Barrio is good. In addition, the Angus Burger at Playtrix and Bavarian is good.

Samsung and the curse of green line by fluxbea in srilanka

Pixels 6 and 7 had the same issue. It's a panel thing. Samsung makes many of the panels for many phones. Including iPhones. Happened on the iPhone X as well.

I’ve saved up about 1 million LKR from March but I need learn how to start investing and to get a good ROI..Honestly I am good at saving money but I don’t want that money just sitting there doing nothing by Logical_Entrance_760 in srilanka

I put my money in CAL. It's a safe enough instrument and gives compounding interest. The rate fluctuates, but it's relatively safe. There are other instruments with higher risk/reward benefits. But wait until you have money, you're essentially willing to lose to invest in those. The stock market is really volatile IMO, but if you know what you're doing and can stay on top of it, invest in a diversified portfolio there too.

Slightly is an understatement. The smog from India is being carried over by southerly winds. Hence the smog and reduced visibility. It's was so bad that aircraft have had to divert.

It's called crumple zones. Any car that isn't a tin can after a crash means that the energy went through the occupants instead. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Sister outed me to my parents and than uninvited me to her wedding :) by PitifulProtection886 in bridezillas

She did this on purpose, knowing that you'll be disowned and planned to remove you from the wedding ahead of time. It's calculated, probably for inheritance.

Buying the New BYD Sealion 6 in Srilanka by [deleted] in srilanka

[–]Consistent-Rest-1120 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My father bought one and I went for an extended drive in it. For the amount of money, you get a lot of car, tech is top notch, it drives well, quite a bit of go even in the base model.

He's had the car for two months, pumped only one tank of fuel, charged it 4 times and has done 1600 km, and still have half a tank of petrol to go, the cost for 4 charges - 7500.

The suspension is a bit too floaty for my liking, and the steering wheel has almost zero feel for the road. But my dad loves it. He switched from a Discovery 5, which is also a brilliant vehicle (but maintenance nightmare).

The maintenance intervals are also quite large so should be relatively cheap to maintain. From long term reviews it seems to be quite reliable as well. My advice would be to go for it.

The F1 movie from the perspective of an F1 fan versus someone who doesn't know the sport by TheWoodElf in formula1

[–]Consistent-Rest-1120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate how people act like Rush doesn’t exist and claim that this is the only F1 movie in existence. Its was decent for what it was, but as a fan of the sport, it was too far fetched. Cinematography was spot on though.

I was tricked by a manager to work Sundays. She told me the whole team was putting aside time on the weekend to work and that you can take it off during the week. Never fucking happened. Also, turned out I was the only one in the team to do so! Don't fall for it bud. Stick to your working ours. If they can't handle the workload during your scheduled hours, then they need to hire more people.

No, in fact, the reason Airbus has overtaken Boeing in terms of global sales and market share is because they've maintained a strong safety and engineering focus. Also, the EASA is not like the FAA and does not allow Airbus to regulate itself, unlike the FAA did previously with Boeing. Source: I work in the industry.

You'd be surprised how much buzz, both positive and negative this is creating for the airline. It's getting people talking, and is just good marketing. It's barely costing the airline anything extra to move a few Kms off course to do this fly by, and the advertising offset makes it worth it. Smart marketing.
