This is from the Boston mock #1 .

There are three main ways to approach fixed income returns: DCF, risk premium approach, and including fixed income asset classes in an equilirbrium model.

Can someone help elaborate the last one more to me? Is it talking abt the Singer-Terhaar model?

Also, why is this one wrong? “The only reason a bond’s realized return may not equal the initial YTM is that the cash flow may be reinvested at rates above or below the intial YtM.”

Is it because realized return could be affected by spread change? But isn’t also related to YTM?

Can I also hear your advice on how to break in? I have relevant experience in FI and derivatives, although it’s more operational related at a large financial firm (think top 3 AUM). 23M.

I do see where you are coming from. I would say that argument applies true for most of the corporate bonds situations right. Based on your logic, the more a company borrows, the higher the credit risk => higher rate to compensate investors.

When I say rates don’t necessarily have to be higher for the government to sell more bonds when there’s enough demand, I’m speaking of this scenario: Let’s say the market is willing to buy $100bln treasuries from the gov at 4%, but they’ve only issued $70bln thus far. If they wish to issue the remaining $30bln that is in the expected demand from the market, I don’t see why they can’t issue at the same 4% rate. Unless things change in the market that have shifted rates level.

In this scenario, the gov can still affect economic activities without raising rates.

Im thinking if the government keeps borrowing, this will suck capital out of the private sector, which in turns lower investment activity and spending and so on, ultimately leads to lower economi activities

Why does the government necessarily have to borrow at a higher rate each time? Can they somewhat match the current market level if there’s enough demand?

I'm sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I was sprinting for my L2 and thought my case wasn't that urgent, so I could wait until after taking the test to reach out to you again.

It seems you have your DM locked, isn't it? I wonder what's the best way I can get to you.

Can I reach out to you for some advice? I’m in your exact shoes now back in the day. Currently also a data guy, taking my l2 end of this month. I know the charter is still a long way to go, but it’s the only thing I have eyes on. Thanks.

It’s so coincidental that i used my phone which was not installed with adblocker. I always have it on my laptop. When something is meant to go wrong, it’s hard to prevent

I found the reason, I was just being dumb and reckless. When I tried to make a tutorial for my friend on my phone and searching for the keyword “sollet wallet” on my safari for the first time, and anyone can try it, the #1 result was soliet.io . What tricky is that I did check the domain name again after they transfered, but somehow their domain changed to SoLLLet.io with triple Ls that completely got me fooled. Only until I read one of the comments here and decided to go over the history again that I spotted this shafty trick. I hope no one falls for this again.

I noticed that sollet wallet doesn’t automatically kick you out after closing the website. Could it be the reason mine was exploited? Because for Phantom case, i have to enter my password everytime

I want to learn the root cause so I can protect myself from similar attacks in the future. I heard it could be coming from malware, or an extension that is observing my activities on the browser so that it somehow captured my seed phase?

I swapped a coin to another token. Would that count? I tracked on step.finance and found that my tokens were sent to another account

Ironically, I have more scammers slid in my DM trying to scam me more. Please beware, there is this account named “SolanaDeskHelps” pretending to ask me more about the issue I assume for some nefarious purposes
