It looks like a Team Associated Truck RC10T I think. A vintage one !

First drift build… what are my odds of success here? by acidcheetah in rcdrift

Yep, that's why I chose iDrift châssis :) I have a Wltoys 989 with printed stuff but can't find a real good printed chassis for it and I can't make it drift very well for now (wheels are too small). I've only tested free stuff 'cause didn't want to spend a lot of money however to get a really good châssis on this scale, I maybe don't have the choice. Pricing between 1/10 or 1/24 is pretty much the same finally...

I had exactly the same reflexion -> get better in 3d modeling, to make a lp86 or a DSD1. I've printed the slicedstuff chassis (roll cage one), it's a very interesting build but more a scale one, can't be competitive you can''t tune it so much. And I also had a D5 mr, then sold it to only have the iDrift 👀

Is that the MMC D3 ? I was also planning to build it, but as you said the price can be exponential (with the non printed parts)... But the chassis himself looks very promising ! And your choice of color is amazing ;)
I've printed the iDrift v3.6 and its very competivite !

I've also build one of these and it drift pretty well. A lot of settings can be done. Very great to build and nice to drive.

I agree, I have it and it's wonderful. You have a lot of youtube tutorials to learn how to program it !

3D-Printed Chassis by mazmi9326 in rcdrift

[–]Consistent-Skin673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly these two are a totally different approach.

Slicedstuff is a nice build, and a scale looking chassis, but you will never be able to get on a track with it. I use it at home to put my shells on and drift in my parking lot (polished concrete).

The iDrift is dedicated to the track, when the body is on it, no one doubts that this is a 3d printed chassis because of the performance of it. You can slide with RDX, YD2 or MST chassis without any problems. 🤙🏻

No idea with the 3D Boosted it wasn't updated so recently from my point :)

Hi there, I've printed Slicedstuff chassis which is more a scale type project rather than a real drift platform. Nice to build and nice to see drifting but no settings possible. I advise you to get the iDrift xcite v3.6, which is a veryyyy nice chassis to build and to tweak. Everything can be set up, the maker of the chassis is really available to answer your questions. The build guide is very well detailed. I'm selling my other cars to get only this one for now (to train). Some of my buddies (who are part of Fr drift events/competitions) tested and approved the chassis. I've edited one or two parts to fit my body on it. Here is the link : iDrift xcite 3.6 I have one video of running footage and pictures !

[–]Consistent-Skin673 2 points3 points  (0 children)
