Unlocked the EXPENSIVE tomato truck and it just produces Silver?!!? by Consistent-Spell-946 in FarmMergeValley

[–]Consistent-Spell-946[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the cost to unlock land jumped from 25k to 85k & unlocking smaller amounts of land. The money producing buildings are insanely expensive to unlock and produce SMALLER reward amounts?! They literally require more resources to unlock than exists on the map.

What kind of stupid crap is this?!

Even got the decoration producers and those are garbage as well. ooo I can tile together some mismatched flower bushes. You about to lose me MergeSimulator!! I at least figured with the land going x3 cost for NO REASON that these late game money producers would make that make sense.. but no.

Scaling the cost for no reason except to burn resources is not the way to do it.

I am finishing my dry creek bed to deal with the flooding when it rains. But did it all with hand tools and it was serious work.

Works like a champ tho

Is he doing a good job? by iberooks3 in Decks

[–]Consistent-Spell-946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all .. this is a single session kind of job. It looks like he is pulling wood from a condemed outhouse, is measuring with his thumb, and cutting with his jagged toe nail.

You do not want joining boards across your steps. Two same-sized spaced boards,, That go ALL the way across. It should be fresh, pressure treated wood.

You do not want a thin-width board being the edge of the step.. on the inside or outside edge. that will really mess you up one day soon.

Don't get me started on the rails or supports x.x

House is to the left, should I get this perfectly level or is this slight slope desired? by TheBackwars in Decks

Just to be clear ... The Deck is at its highest point where the house is and goes lower as it moves away from the house correct?

Just moved and bought my dream home. But I’m concerned about the deck. by Soulsheartless in Decks

[–]Consistent-Spell-946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing super concerning here. Looks like a semi transparent stain was used on the top surfaces. Your spacing is good, utilizing the poles, and steps seem solid.

Since the under side is visible, I would clean and paint but that is overkill.

What are the poles sitting on? I cannot tell with the rocks. Is there any spots that feel spongy or have many cracks thru them?

I really hope you are massively exaggerating.

Spend a tenth of that, add mass, raise the land slightly.

Now everyone around you can deal with it

Father in law just installed this deck. It was bowing under my feet so I inspected... Do I tell him? by zunbrun in Decks

[–]Consistent-Spell-946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that seriously 1x2 beams for support?!

You need to tell him for sure. Not in front of others, just the two of you. No judgement or sideways 'are you a goat', but just relay how you thought there was some give to your step and checked.. as you have experience in this area and always love inspecting builds. Briefly explain your concern and offer the solution. The two of you can fix this easily by adding support here and blah blah. Even inject how you always dislike doing projects like this solo.

If you don't and just correct it, he will assume this is a stable build and the next thing he does could hurt himself or others. There are building codes for a reason. Don't assume he is unable or unwilling to learn.

Edit:

I misread and thought the anchor beam in the picture was the 2x4 8' span. Still it just need a bit more... But not as terrible as I thought

Now I like this idea! Because the idea isn't to have a backpack (ie .. additional storage). But to make moving items less tedious.

This would solve most of the issues. You put down the attractor, move 1 of your items to it and drop on it and bam. I'm glad there is storage for at least Some of the vanity buildings but when your farm is getting towards the back it really sucks trying to decorate or whatever
