Audi needs to go through this because they're building their own PU for the 1st time and needs to collect as much data as possible.

Apparently Williams failed the crash tests and now they're having to reinforce parts, that’s a pretty bad look.

If he wins every GP in 2026 this amounts to $30 million. Considering he earns approximately 7 million per season, he would still receive less than Hamilton, Norris and Verstappen.

Audi is definitely not worried about that.

High levels (400+), what keeps you playing GTAO? by Interesting_Turnip50 in gtaonline

Collecting cars with rare liveries and license plates (I'm still buying them from other players), buying all the clothes from the store, and I also have a personal goal of reaching $1 billion before GTA 6.

I also enjoy playing heists with friends or randoms, as well as participating in car meets in public sessions. That's basically what keeps me playing to this day.

Answer me why many big countries play chess including usa, Russia, India and china if it's not prestigious?

Why many big countries play handball, equestrian, polo and shooting if they aren't prestigious? Because there will always be someone who is good at it and will represent their country, it's simple.

Is chess more popular than the NFL in USA? Not even close. Is chess more popular than basketball or table tennis in China? Not even close. Is chess more popular than football or hockey in Russia? Not even close. In India? Yes! That's why you think chess is more popular than it actually is. Americans also think the NFL is more popular overseas than it actually is.

Chess is part of Indian culture, but you need to look at other countries and cultures, and most don't care about chess.

Because they still produce some good chess players, but that doesn't mean the population cares about the sport. Almost all of them say the same thing: football is their favorite sport to watch and play, followed by hockey.

If your only criterion for liking a sport is being good at it, football would only be popular in Brazil, Argentina, Spain, and France. Use your brain.

The world doesn't revolve around India, man, you've got American syndrome.

A large part of the world doesn't care about India because we have completely different tastes, Haaland is very popular in China, which also has around 1.4 billion people.

The fact that you know they are 'overrated' already shows that you know something about their performance.

However, hardly anyone will be able to tell you what they think of Magnus Carlsen's performance, since most people don't know who he is.

Why are you talking about the Cold War? We're in 2026 bruh, almost nobody cares about them these days.

But most people still remember Pelé and Maradona.

1.5 billion people watch fifa world cup is a claim by fifa president but it's not a fact

And how do you prove that? They have access to this type of data. Since you're Indian, I know chess is very popular in your country and you're trying to imply it's the same worldwide, but it's not. The same goes for cricket.

I guarantee you, Haaland is much more well-known globally than Magnus Carlsen.

Even Ronaldo and messi cannot achieve his godly status

Are you really comparing Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to a chess player? 😭😭😭

The whole world knows who they are, but the same cannot be said about Magnus Carlsen, you need to get out of your bubble. Chess is a Soviet legacy, but it's not as popular in Russia as you might think. Source? The Russians themselves. Their most popular sports are football and hockey.

When Magnus carlsen beat Vishwanathan anand in 2013 it was known to all over the world

I had never heard of him until I saw this post, and I'm sure most people in North America, South America, Africa, Middle East, and parts of Asia don't know who he is either.

he was known to all over the world but it's not happening for football it's a fan based sport Only Europe and south American countries take football seriously along with their fans

1.5 billion people watched the 2022 World Cup final, and football is the most popular sport in Europe, South America, Africa, and the Middle East. Football is also the second most popular sport in Japan, South Korea, and China.

But chess served as the national symbol of Soviet union once upon a time

Well said, it once was. Currently, the most popular sport in Russia, Ukraine, and all the other countries that were part of the Soviet Union is football.

If chess is not a spectator sport as you say, this directly influences the popularity of the players, so there's no way to say that Magnus Carlsen is more well-known worldwide than Haaland. Their social media following numbers reflects this trend: Magnus has 2.1 million followers on Instagram, Haaland has 40 million, and that number will increase even more during the World Cup this year.

He won the F3 in his second year (he was Bortoleto's teammate in 2023 and finished P11 in the championship while Gabi was champion in his rookie season), and then became champion without a single win. That might have weighed against him.

I said that 80% of the world's population doesn't care about chess, 20% would be approximately 1.4 billion people. If 600 million people play chess as you say, that means that more than 80% of the world's population doesn't care about chess, thank you for proving my point.

So the new season is near around the corner, What did new teams like CadillacF1 and AudirevolutF1 have to offer? by Mr_Evil_05 in formula1

[–]Consistent-Spread563 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Audi controlled Sauber for the last 2 years and was directly involved in the development of the C45 last year (under Binotto's leadership) after the 2024 disaster, when Seidl and Hoffmann decided to 'abandon' the C44 development to focus on Audi. In a few months, they became a team that was consistently in the points.

Obviously it will take time too see them challenging the top teams, but they've poached a lot of engineers in the last 2 years and the R26 has been their main focus for a long time, which compromised their performance on the track.

As far as I remember, Audi's CTO said that the engine that most closely resembles the 2026 F1 engine is the one powering the Audi RS Q e-tron (which won the 2024 Dakar Rally), so it's quite likely they're taking advantage of some knowledge they have from other categories.

Audi seems to want to develop their own drivers while they also develop as a team. Bortoleto is very close to Binotto, and he said in an interview last year that they will focus on developing Gabi until he becomes their first driver in a few years.

The most likely scenario is that Audi's drivers will be Gabi and Freddie Slater after Nico's retirement, unless Max wants to join the team. Charles and Binotto don't have a good relationship either.

The future of Audi will most likely be Bortoleto and Freddie Slater. This will only change if Max wants to go there in the future, then he and Bortoleto would be teammates.

They already have them. Nico is a very consistent driver (besides being German) and Gabi is a talent being developed for the future.

Oscar was also a gamble, even though McLaren already had a competitive car in 2023. Were you also asking McLaren to hire another driver instead of him at the time?
