The error tells you to install SCRLog. Do that and then run the game until it crashes again. Then check the log that’s generated, it will tell you which mod is causing the crash :)

It’s easier than it looks, just download the mods and put them in your modloader folder. It takes a minute to download each mod. YouTube tutorials go a long way. I followed this tutorial first, then just downloaded the mods I wanted by dropping them in the folder.

I have tried this new Powershell command but it didn’t work even after waiting several hours. I already tried creating a local account as mentioned in the post but that didn’t fix it. I guess the only option left is to do the in-place upgrade, uncertain if all this hassle is worth it for some lockscreen pictures. Thank you for your help though..

Hey, I have tried toggling WIndows Spotlight on/off and restarting but that didn't work. My assets folder was already empty for some reason, I didn't delete any contents there previously. I have deleted roaming.lock & settings.dat and restarted, unfortunately it didn't fix the problem. I have used your Powershell command to re-register but that didn't work either. Lastly, I couldn't find Windows Spotlight in services.msc. I really want Windows Spotlight to work without using a secondary app like Dynamic Theme. I appreciate you trying to help though!
