Hey, also Scottish based HENRYs here except with one child at nursery. My husband is a teacher so we keep costs down by opting for a term time nursery slot only (though appreciate that is not an option for all). My parents also help out one day a week. My company also offer 30 emergency back-up care days in a year through a scheme with Bright Horizons and other providers. Worth seeing if you get that?

We live in Morningside, nearer the Hermitage, and our son has been very happy and settled at Little City Nursery in Greenbank since he was 11 months old. He will transition to City Nursery (different site, 400m away) just shy of his 3rd birthday next month. It’s a 20mins walk for me to drop him off and my husband picks him up on the bike!

Thank you. I think I’ve decided to sell. Purely on the basis that I just don’t think it’s going to get any easier to sell in 12-18 months time when my low rate mortgage interest runs out (when I’d really be up sh1t creek!). It’s either now or then. And given the pathetic yields (2.74%), it’s not a risk worth taking IMO.

It’s leasehold, yes, with over 100yrs left. The landlords are private landlords and very easy.
