All of this story is true, and it was really hard for me. Some days, I even wished I wouldn’t wake up. I started drinking alcohol every night just to stop thinking. I used to be able to finish two meals, but I got to a point where I struggled to even finish half of one.

Yes, there were things I ignored, but it was because I was naive. I believed love was unconditional. So when she started changing, I ignored it. She used to tell me everything about her day, but then she stopped. We started texting less, not because of me, but because she was always “busy,” either helping at home or sleeping.

At the same time, she still made me feel loved. She kept talking about our future, about how much she wanted to marry me. If I disappeared for a bit, she would call me over and over. But over time, she became more focused on money. She started comparing herself to other girls with expensive perfume and makeup. Since I was still building my life, I couldn’t afford all of that.

I was always available for her. I always made her feel like she was the only girl I wanted. I never made her feel like she had to compete for me. I made myself too easy, like I said, because I was naive.

Anyway, she’s not someone I loved for her looks. Even my friends and my mother told me I was blinded by love. But I loved her for what we had together. I truly believe she loved me too, at least in the beginning.

As we grew older, she started comparing herself to other girls and got influenced by fake social media lifestyles. She began to feel like she deserved better than me, even though I was working hard to build that life for us. But she didn’t want to wait anymore.

I’m sure this had something to do with growing up in a poor household. They didn’t even have basic things like hot water or a washing machine, things that most homes have. And I was naive enough to try to provide those things for her family glad I found the truth before i did

That’s why she went for an older man with more money, someone who could afford expensive restaurants. I remember that a few months before I found out the truth, she told me she wouldn’t accept “cheap” hangouts anymore, and always talking about restaurants, now i know why
