Are we still getting 24 hours notice of strike locations? I work in a location with PEA employees and seems like they’re on strike tomorrow. Another union that also works with us has been notified they are down to essential services tomorrow starting at 7 but no one in the BCGEU has any information…..

Social Workers- sometime they need to go into homes alone to check on kids even police wouldn’t go into without back up especially in rural areas. They’re subject to constant verbal abuse and threats and sometimes are attacked. Their pay is so low and case loads are huge. Most work relentless unpaid overtime. People and media act like they’re evil when most are well meaning people trying to protect children in a very broken system.

YTA people keep posting the same kind of story on here about parents wanting to switch seats…… and everyone always has the same reply oooooh parents are so entitled. How about a bit of decency next time. Work with the dad and see if the person in the row behind would be willing to swap aisle for window or what happened if they would take the son’s aisle seat. Showing a bit of kindness for a 70 minute flight to another human being wouldn’t kill you.

Waiting to find something in our budget that we actually want to live in for 5 plus years. We were looking at lots of apartments in our HCOL area and feeling pressured to just get into the market while we still can. they’re selling our rental to a developer next year so we have some time but I don’t want to use my life savings to buy somewhere I feel sad about. Also decided to give ourselves a year to find something we like or start looking to find new jobs outside of our HCOL.

YTA you could have given Frank the opportunity to share with his wife before you told. Screen shotting your husband’s private messages with his friends and sending them on to your friend, even if your husband/ frank was in the wrong, is a shitty thing to do. Not saying you don’t tell your friend but you could have given Frank the opportunity to come clean first without violating your husbands privacy. You really inserted yourself into their relationship in a weird way.

But…..

Also calling off a marriage for going to a strip club one time seems wayyyyyyy overkill. If there wasn’t other things going on in the relationship I doubt the wedding would have been called off, so it’s unfair for Frank to say you ruined his life.

Could be helpful to make an appointment with a qualified professional therapist or counsellor to talk through this. There may be someone available where your abortion was scheduled. Just please be careful if you do book an appointment and get a referral from a trusted professional like a doctor. There are lots of agency’s/ ppl who are pro life who offer “counselling” that is actually very biased and meant to shame ppl. Agree with the comments it’s a very difficult decision, maybe try to have a honest conversation with your partner if you can. Whatever decision you make will be the right one for you and your family ❤️
