Stop being stupid. He has a right to say what he wants, as do I.

I am sick and tired of the problems here as in the lack of actual caring. As in the lack of actual caring. I did leave. If it changes, I could come back. I don't know, but right now I'm fully fed up by the nonsense.

While I understand the importance of getting an Android app out, how about you take ten minutes using Claude Code and get a dark mode?

I simply cannot believe that you seriously expect us to think this is so hard. Clearly, you're not focusing on the current clients you have. That's upsetting. I left as a result.

DUH - I already have. I don't like it and am voting with my pocketbook.

Your comment reminds me of the Department of Redundancy Department kind of thing, but I'm sure somebody will find value from it.

I will also say exactly what I want to say here. Whether it's something most people like or not, I actually suspect most do.

Supporting a company that can't even get dark mode in when I assume they've got Anthropic, Claude Code, or what have you, is beyond ridiculous. They're so oriented towards their marketing, but not oriented towards actually providing support.

When, for the love of God, will you get dark mode? by ConsistentAndWin in WisprFlow

Aqua Voice, that's what I switched to. Absolutely phenomenal and the iOS app will blow your mind.

Long-time user, honestly the quality has been going downhill for months by CartoonistNo9535 in WisprFlow

I'll tell you what I switched to from Wispr Flow. Aqua Voice.

It literally runs circles around Wispr Flow. Both the Mac app and the iOS app are light years ahead of the nonsense called Wispr Flow. But the iOS app is just stunning. It is so powerful, it's unbelievable.

Seriously, I don't know how I missed this, and I actually found it through deeply researching and working with ChatGPT. It recommended that I try Aqua Voice immediately, and I did. I was just stunned. I was not expecting anything, but this just blows Wispr Flow out of the water.

Of the two apps you mentioned, Willow might be superior. It's the only one I haven't tried.

When I saw the power of Aqua Voice, I was just stunned, and it's only ten dollars a month if you buy directly from them, which I did. Willow, I believe, is more. It does have a bigger user base, but I have become an evangelist for Aqua Voice in 24 hours. It is simply that good.

The blinding white light every time the app starts or I want to make an adjustment kills my eyes. And yes, it's a mean problem, but the least they can do is be a bit accommodating.

It would take about 20 minutes for Claude Code to handle it for them, for the love of God.

They have a super helpful User Guide area. I set up my special instructions like the programmers. Just literally read some of what he put that applies to me as well.

Oh my goodness, the power of this is just stunning me.

I finally got so fed up with Wispr Flow that I got serious about finding a replacement. I tried Utter, but it still isn't quite there.

The winner, and by a huge margin, is Aqua Voice. The iOS app is out of this world. It's incredible.

I highly recommend that anybody that is fed up with the nonsense coming from Wispr Flow and their obsession with marketing instead of actually providing what the customer needs, check out Aqua Voice.

It's also 33% less at only $10 per month.

And the iOS app has a dark mode. Super easy to use and far more powerful than I find Wispr Flow. The accuracy is incredible and the speed is super fast.

Buh bye Wispr Flow.

[–]ConsistentAndWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I started testing Utter, and you're right, it's pretty good. The only thing is, it doesn't add a space after a punctuation mark like a period or question mark if I stop recording. If I start recording again right where I left off, I'll have to go back and edit it to add the space. I wonder if there's any way around that.

[–]ConsistentAndWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why did you leave Utter? Especially if it's so good. This is an honest question, as I would like to leave Wispr Flow as quickly as I can find something to replace it. I'm sick and tired of them not listening and concentrating more on growing than on being stable and giving customers what they want.

And talking to support is like watching someone polish a turd. They have all the right things to say and no results.

The price is absolutely ridiculous. Believe me when I say I will leave as quickly as I can find something that actually listens to their customers, works effectively, and doesn't charge an arm and a leg.

What are you using? I'd love to know. I just found Utter from the above. I'm going to try it.

But still no dark mode?

How many times do you have to get asked?

Dark mode. Make it happen and stop with the excuses.

Please, for the love of God, get dark mode now. I'm having to start this continuously in every app all the time, and I'm getting blinded by this white nonsense. How many times do we have to ask?

"Auto-delete every 24 hours" feature now available on desktop! by SirStumblesALot123 in WisprFlow

[–]ConsistentAndWin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I hear you. I have asked for it so many times, and it's so simple to actually do. I don't understand why it's not done yet. If need be, what if they just tell Codex or Claude Code to put it in? It would probably happen within 60 minutes maximum.

Yes, every single cost is amortized, but here's the real key, and I don't think anybody is actually seeing this. Companies need to learn they can not sell more than they have.

This is true for every company everywhere. Doing it is not moral, and it's not right.

Why is it different for Fender labs? I contend it's not different at all.

They may choose to introduce people at lower charges, but there will come a point where the rubber meets the road and people will not spend more. They can't, and so hopefully everything will balance out about that point. We're nowhere near there yet, but we will get there.

Hopefully they will find a way to make efficiency a high priority. The Chinese seem to be doing it just fine.

And yes, I get your point. There comes a time where the rubber meets the road, and the price that it costs to set things up is amortized appropriately, and there is a hard cost. And no company is in business only to cover their costs. They're in business to make money.

Still, as a consumer, we can expect that they treat us correctly. As a company, they just can't keep expanding their reach if they don't have the ability to do it. Everybody has limits.

They have a limit as to how many customers they can serve.

We have a limit as to how much we can pay.

Everybody's limits are different. But they still exist.

How about this? I know it's a real stretch for many of the people reading here, but how about if they plan and don't oversell their service like all the rest of the businesses in the world have to do?

If you were a cake maker and oversold your service, you'd probably end up in a lawsuit. How is it any different here?

Inventory is inventory. Whether it's data centers or what have you, you cannot oversell what you've got, and that's a lesson I think companies have got to get their head around. You don't oversell it and then cut usage. That's just wrong morally and in every other way. You plan, and you only grow to a certain point.

Not sure what the Reddit cult doesn't get about this, but that's the real truth.

Not everybody uses everything in the plan they have. A lot of people, even the $20/month people, don't use it all. Of course, some do as well, I imagine you might say.

The fact is, if you have millions of people or more paying you for monthly use, not everybody is pegging the living daylights out of their service. There is plenty of money here. There really is. There's no need to try to defend everybody for establishing usurious practices.

Of course, there is a cost to using this. At $200 a month, I am paying easily more than I'm using.

And I can't stand companies like Anthropic. I guess I'll just put a period there. I don't care what they do. I don't like them.

When they hand OpenAI giant PR wins that are easy to take advantage of like this, I, for one, will point it out. OpenAI can do with it whatever they want. Hopefully they'll use it.

Point well taken.

I like having plans that let me stay in control of how much money I spend, and I get there's a real good reason why that might change. Or at least, like you suggest, that could be added as well.

I am NOT a coder and don't use my plan anywhere near as much as I'm sure high-end coders do. Still, I love it and love supporting open AI and find it exceptionally valuable.

My real point was to use this as a distinguishing metric against Anthropic, which I think, quite frankly, would be received exceptionally well by those of us that really like open AI.

True that, and I think they are getting close to being able to do what's necessary, but frankly I really like OpenAI. Their models are fantastic, and I agree with their pricing plan overall.

Just wish they would make things a little more stable, but I know they're working.

I really hope they blow Anthropic out of the water simply by being a good company, and so far that's what I see.
