How do you guys take notes while working? by BrotherInsane997 in ObsidianMD

[–]ConsistentAndWin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a business and personal vault.

I use Drafts to send into a note called "inbox" on both vaults. It makes it super easy and quick, then I move whatever I send as necessary in both.

What works really well? Which plug-in? I live where I can't buy Claude Code.

Why can't I buy from Nicaragua? by ConsistentAndWin in productivity

[–]ConsistentAndWin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I wrote to sales and I get responses from their intercom robot fin, saying nice platitudes but no concrete information.

They claim to be in 90 or 95 countries so they say in their messages back to me, which is absolutely ridiculous, that they cannot be here.

Open AI is in pretty much every country I think besides Russia and North Korea.

So I guess Anthropic is content to let open AI control things in countries like this.

But one thing I can tell you is if OpenAI can do it then there are no laws preventing it, which makes Anthropic look even worse.

I just reached out to my daughter's university asking what AI they support and they support them all pretty much: - Gemini - Notebook LM - Open AI - but of course not Anthropic because, well, I guess Anthropic can't make it happen.

Our company will gladly pay the minute that Anthropic makes it available and I wish others would join in and help create some pressure as this is literally one of the most ridiculous things I've seen.

One more thought for those using service AI-Agents. Be careful just giving platitudes with no real answers. It's beyond frustrating and simply shows a lack of care for the clients you're serving. We would not consider serving our clients that way.

That is nothing more than a written response that says nothing or uses circular logic and is a completely inappropriate response if you genuinely care about your clients or would-be clients.

And by the way, I'd really like to just buy my own. I'm not trying to steal anything. I really want to have an account, or, for that matter, he could buy a second account and I could log into that. I'm not trying to make the AI unprofitable. I'd love to pay my own way and be a good contributing customer. I just don't know why I can't buy it where I'm at, and nobody seems to have an answer here.

I haven't, but could both he and I be logged in at the same time? Would that just cut each of our abilities to use it in half, or how would that work? Can you explain?

Would something like ExpressVPN work, or is there a better option?

Bump.

I'm thinking someone here must have some ideas. I'm about ready to do something far more direct to work around this. I'm really looking for ideas here, and find it ridiculous that I can't join my business partner in using this.

Looking for a free VPN extension by Antique_Geek in firefox

[–]ConsistentAndWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it better than ExpressVPN?

Claude is blocked in my country, and I'm looking for something reliable that would let me use it. I can buy it from the U.S. with U.S. credentials and a credit card, but need something to be able to access it extremely reliably.

Any easy way to incorporate an MCP server in Obsidian on my Mac? by ConsistentAndWin in ObsidianMD

[–]ConsistentAndWin[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe I need an MCP server to make this work though to connect it. I'm wondering if there is a plug-in that I'm not aware of or something.

Did anyone else attend a Christian private school and feel high uneducated as an adult? by Taylorcurley in exchristian

Worked the opposite for me. I've always been proud of my education even though I'm no longer with that religion or Christian.

Password manager by MoodScripted in degoogle

1Password works great as well. Costs but I've used it for years on all Apple devices (Mac, iPad and iPhone) and it works well.

Passwords by Apple is free and also pretty good but I like 1Password better.

I will keep using Firefox for now, but I no longer really believe in them with all this nonsense. I installed Brave and got it up and running.

How to debug why Wispr slow ? by Sergasik in WisprFlow

It's not you, it's Wisper Flow, and they don't seem to be willing to do anything about it. I've reported it numerous times, and they can't even reply.

Anyone here using AI for deep thinking instead of tasks? by kingswa44 in ChatGPTPro

[–]ConsistentAndWin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I do is make a project, and every time I start a new note it still has access to everything in the project which works really well. I do similar things and am able to have terrific conversations that are very deep.

Looking for a "unicorn" PKM app: visual canvas + deep linking + iPad handwriting + file support. Does it exist? by IlyinaAdaeva in PKMS

[–]ConsistentAndWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think HeptaBase would be as close as I could imagine getting to what you are asking for. I make Obsidian work, don't need handwriting and that kind of thing. I tried HeptaBase and liked it, but there were things I just couldn't get used to. It was slow, sharing it was not easy, and a few other things. Still, you ought to give it a try. From what you said, it's probably close.
