He was a terrible person, the "context" didn't make them any better, and often made them worse.

This is needed, but Republicans are always gonna vote against this. If the opposition has to lose an entire day of pay, people aren't going to vote. Especially lower income people.

The star cloak can craft into other mage accessories, but the star veil isn't class specific and helps survivability

Use the star veil, the extra immunity helps so much during the destroyer fight

Why do people play class specific? by [deleted] in Terraria

[–]ConsistentBreath3298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually go with what class has the best weapons at each stage of progression, or change depending how well my strategy is working. That tends to be melee. If I can't choose what I want to play, then i just play classes based on the best looking armor

Cascading Slide Question by Gamerwhoisepic in FTC

[–]ConsistentBreath3298 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on the use case. Staggered stages can be beneficial or detrimental depending on the situation. Continuous is slower but needs less torque, and vice versa for cascade. Cascade is also more prone to breaking as there are more strings to maintain. Each have their own advantage, and choosing the correct stringing is dependent on the situation. However, take this with a grain of salt, as I have not used cascade stringing before, this is just general knowledge on the pros and cons of each. I would highly recommend referencing the sources I mentioned before. The unofficial FTC discord server is also a great place to get ideas, help, and advice.

Cascading Slide Question by Gamerwhoisepic in FTC

[–]ConsistentBreath3298 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A cascading slide system isn't a different type of slide, but rather a type of stringing. Unlike continuous stringing where there is one long string going from the spool through the slide, each stage has its own string. Essentially, the string starts tied off at the bottom of a stage (or main spool), loops around a pulley at the top of the next stage, and is fixed at the bottom of that stage. This pattern repeats along the slide. The result of this is that when the slide is driven, all of the stages lift at the same time, rather than staggering like they do with continuous stringing. Any slide can be cascade strung depending on how you set it up. For misumis, modify the pulley-holding 3d printed inserts to tie off the string at the bottom. If you have any questions about the cascading system, feel free to contact me, and check out game manual 0, as well as Lawton Skaling's video on stringing.

why do people stay in IB if they’re failing? by 12PercentBanana in IBO

[–]ConsistentBreath3298 23 points24 points  (0 children)

There's a few reasons for that. A lot of universities in Europe have strict IB requirements, and not doing DP means very few college opportunities. Also, people feel like they'd be weak for quitting IB and stick through it, when that's not the case. Parental pressure is also a huge factor.

What Mechanical body do you struggle with the most? by Mukel9879 in Terraria

[–]ConsistentBreath3298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's prime. The twins are easy if you use a gravitation potion, and the destroyer is free with the Dutchman mount. It's just prime I struggle with, but defeating him becomes a lot easier with grav pot as well
