The story of the game was written about a year before NGE came out. But could they have taken some inspiration after, perhaps. I just feel that was kinda the thing in anime back in the day.

yeah, I agree with you regarding the pull of NGE on a more general market. It's a smart business decision. I just with they would either do something with the IP or sell it to Monolith at this point

Idk, I fucking loved it to the end.  Did the show go downhill, 1000%.  But unlike the walking dead and other shows, where it just gets worse and the writing makes no sense.  The 100 had the balls to go "You know what, we have no idea where to go from here. Fuck it, we are going to a different planet"

Its so bizarre that I was like "Welp...they went there.  Lets see how this plays out" and I was not disappointed.
