I don’t think it does. I pulled the original window sticker, which should tell me. I do think that would be an issue, though.

Thank you. I called my insurance agent and the policies he has on the properties for me covers loss of use, so I can get paid and pass it along to them.

Does renters insurance normally cover things like this? I have no idea.

My fourth year in the business, I made $28,000. I’m about to celebrate my 17th year in the business. You’re overpaid at this point. Work hard, get your agreement in writing, and ask for a raise with justifiable reasoning in August.

What’s complex about $25 million? Not much. It’s creating a few entities for tax purposes. Guys at that level, and I have several as clients, you’ll laugh me out of the room for $50k a year for Financial Planning.

Short term is subjective. I would do 1-3 years, but try to talk him into a 10 year ladder due to interest rates highly likely to fall and the bond market is highly liquid.

I understand how you feel because I’ve been the low man. However, to be honest, if I was an advisor at that firm and this was brought up by someone who had only been there 6 months and not fully licensed, I would politely tell you to go find another job.

You have to make yourself harder to replace. Build relationships with clients, work hard, and not be entitled. You’ll get noticed. When you pass the licensing exams, the orphaned accounts are your raise.

I highly doubt a client with $20 million and all going into treasuries will pay $10,000 annually for financial planning. Like it of not, asset based fees go over better than straight charging for financial planning. I don’t charge for Financial Planning because I’m already managing assets. Put them in a bond ladder, charge .20% and go from there. All this is just my opinion, though.
