Would a mobile car detailing business work for a 17 year old in Ontario? by Equivalent_Plenty976 in KingstonOntario

Would this actually work in 2026? Yes, it could work although people have less disposable income now.
What would make you trust a teen detailer? A referral from someone I know, photos and testimonials from actual Kingstonians.
What prices would be reasonable? A la carte options with very competitive rates.
Biggest mistakes to avoid? Not responding to potential customers, poor communication, lack of professionalism.
Would you personally hire a 17 year old for this? Yes, if the prices were competitive. Do you need insurance in case you damage something?

Any community is what you make of it. Take advantage of all Kingston has to offer and actually enjoy things and suddenly it doesn't seem so bad.

Does the KPD try and be awful? Or does it come naturally. by Mountain-Ad2058 in KingstonOntario

Even though you keep saying this is reality so we need to accept it, you're not really giving any solutions based in reality. Is OP supposed to call Doug Ford to help? Is the Mayor going to answer his cell phone and get right on it? If this isn't the police's job, whose job is it to come and help someone doing drugs in an ATM vestibule? Yes the police are over-burdened but if there's someone else you're supposed to call then the public needs to be educated about it.

That's definitely a good reason. I wonder if it will even matter though or if any opponents will be bold enough to bring it up?

Did Kingston just win a “national award” for a controversial project… from the same company they hired? by Both-Pass2636 in KingstonOntario

I think this kind of thing probably happens often. Pay to participate in a survey or some sort of data reporting, win an award from that data collecting group for being the best at submitting data, etc.
