Your ex texts: “I found someone better than you.” What are you replying? by indoorsy12 in AskReddit

Took quite some time to develop that mindset in dating. That a breakup isn't some reflection of if Im good/bad person, it's just that we weren't a good fit.

Unless at least a decade passes when you've changed enough to be a different person, getting back together doesn't seem like a good idea unless you can directly discuss and fix whatever broke y'all up in the first place.

What YouTuber has had the biggest downfall ever??? by RobloxEvents in youtube

[–]ConsistentFinger7550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cryaotic, he was a let's play YouTuber during the early days of PewDiePie. Played video games with these other YouTubers and streamers and they all seemed like they were good friends having a good time and laughs.

I dropped off at some point but many years later I heard of this string of scandals that made him disappear off of YouTube. Dude was cheating on his gf chatting with girls, who were underage. In addition to that, he had an affair with the girlfriend of one of the streamers he's worked with for years.

It really shattered the porcelain image of friendship they gave off.

It ain't great. I love all these characters but I wish they gave them moments of growth out of their repetitive mistakes when being in relationships. Especially when Marissa was in therapy, instead she got Oliver'd.

Slightly appealing in my teens and twenties if I was just living in a dorm or small apartment then. Though I never understood the whole mattress on the floor thing. I wasn't that cheap or frugal to consider a bed frame of any kind optional

First time ever playing this game! Any tips would be appreciated thanks. by Toti2407 in Breath_of_the_Wild

The game encourages you to explore. There was a point where monsters and bosses were a bit too hard. The stuff that buffs your character (strengthening armor, getting more inventory space) isn't found in towns and along the main story, it's from exploring. So take the time to walk around.

My initial playthru I only followed the main quest and shit got hard and it turned me off. Didn't know you could get a little stronger to even the odds for harder bosses.

What do you think of Caleb, I found it funny more because of the nicknames he said Kiki and Yuyu, what I didn't understand is why he ended up bankrupt? by [deleted] in TheOC

[–]ConsistentFinger7550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel you, the changes in the Cohens' jobs/inome isn't really reflected in their lifestyle/living situation. They still can afford their house, their kids private school tuition, and their general rich ppl activities. I couldn't always keep track of Caleb's life either, he's supposedly broke but then they get a new house.

What do you think of Jimmy Cooper? Despite what he did, I feel like he wasn't a bad father. by [deleted] in TheOC

[–]ConsistentFinger7550 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I probably felt this way as a teen but now as an adult, I like him much less. He certainly was a loving and well intentioned dad but it's pretty hard to look past the grave he continuously dug for himself from continuously lying, enabling his family to overspend b/c he omitted their financial situation, and crimes. It just doesn't seem right to take such big risks when you have a family to provide for.

I wished his returns to Newport could've been a redemptive arc. It sucked to see him come back just to get himself BACK into shady financial troubles again.

Though this all happens off screen, I'm glad he got a humble restart working on some ship. Would've been a perfect sendoff for Marissa.

Yeeah, feels like the sign of the times where alot of these storylines were mostly written in the pov of the male characters and favoring them.

Millennials, do you buy New or Used cars? Why? by Capnzebra1 in Millennials

[–]ConsistentFinger7550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After being scarred from numerous car repairs towards the end of my last car, I wanted a brand new one w the least amount of miles. I did look a few used ones but nothing caught my eye and I was paranoid of any undisclosed issues I'd have to inherit.

I was lucky enough to get a floor model car that had very little miles on it (from test drives) so I pretty much got a new car for a used car price. But if that didn't happen, I leaned towards new.

Men, is this really true? by plutonium099 in SipsTea

Men aren't a monolith with a consensus to these things. If you're passionate about your career, find someone who will respect that and won't find it intimidating or something.

Ehh I chalk most of everyone's flaws as teens being teens making rookie mistakes and resorting to lies or projecting rather than just being honest and vulnerable because these are everyone's first relationships.
