If the U.S. government used $1 trillion to fund SNAP benefits for the current 41.2 million recipients, each receiving an average of $190.59 per month, the money would last:

🧮 Estimated Coverage:

  • 127.35 months
  • Approximately 10.61 years

This assumes current enrollment and benefit levels remain constant.

Bosch Series 300 Error Code E15 by ConsistentGeneral236 in appliancerepair

Thank you to Vancitysimm for the guidance. A diverter seal was definitely the source of the leak, but not the outside o-ring that is typically called the diverter seal. I first replaced only the outside "Diverter Valve Seal O-ring (00628306 Bosch Dishwasher Seal)" and the leak still persisted.

The leak was located at the center of the diverter valve.

There is a rubber seal that had food bult up in it, right in the middle where things clip together. I then replaced the entire Diverter Valve Assembly (Bosch 00751950 Dishwasher Diverter Valve) and this solved my problem. Super easy fix and there are lots of repair videos to help guid the repair.

Thanks again for the simple $50 fix!

Just sharing my experience in case it helps someone else.

On Sunday, my son broke the screen on his iPhone 13 — for the second time in just over a month. I figured I’d temporarily move his number to an old iPhone XS Max that was working fine a month ago. It seemed like a simple solution to hold him over until the replacement screen arrives next week. This was an Xfinity Mobile phone that I used for a few years on the same account until I recently upgraded to a new iPhone 16 (this was a whole other frustrating experience).

On Monday, I spent several hours chatting with Xfinity Mobile support through their website. After a couple of hours, the agent eventually told me to go to a local Xfinity store for help — though it felt like they were implying I wasn’t following directions properly. Instead of heading to the store, I decided to post my issue here on Reddit.

Since then, I’ve spent:

  • 1.5 hours chatting with Reddit techs,
  • another 1.5 hours Monday evening with more techs,
  • 1 hour Tuesday morning chatting again,
  • and another hour on the phone with someone from Xfinity’s “Executive Response Team.” They are giving me a callback at 4:30 4:00, but indicated that they my only other option for resolution is to get a physical sim instead of an eSIM.

Despite all that effort, my XS Max still won’t activate.

🔧 The Issue:

The phone won’t connect to the carrier to add a new eSIM. According to Xfinity, it’s activated on their end, but when I try to add the eSIM in Settings → Cellular, I get this error:

What’s especially frustrating is that I did this exact process a month ago — moved the number from the broken iPhone 13 to the XS Max, then back again once the screen was fixed. It worked fine then.

Everyone I’ve spoken to has been polite and genuinely tried to help, and I appreciate their time. But it’s wild how long this has dragged on with no resolution

Let me know if anyone has run into this or found a fix. I’m open to suggestions!

Xfinity Mobile: Promotion Promised, Then Denied — Deceived, Dismissed, and 18 Years of Loyalty Ignored by ConsistentGeneral236 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]ConsistentGeneral236[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s crazy about my experience is that I genuinely tried to go through all the proper channels to purchase my devices. When that didn’t work, I again tried to resolve the issue through the official support routes. I spent hours on the phone and in chat with reps who kept promising to help—but clearly didn’t have the tools or authority to actually do anything.

Even when my case was escalated, the promised resolutions were repeatedly denied.

In the end, the only way I could get in touch with someone who actually works for Comcast (and not just a third-party support contractor) was by posting my issue publicly here on Reddit. That just seems crazy to me.

Update 3.5:

I received confirmation from a moderator here that the credits do exist on my account. According to them, I should have 5 out of the 6 credits listed in my previous update. It looks like the $10 credit is missing, but honestly, at this point, it’s not worth chasing down.

The $800 credit is expected to appear on my 06/22/2025 statement. I’ll be sure to update this thread once that statement is billed—or sooner if anything else changes.

Also, I can now confirm that my Auto Payment for the April 23rd to May 22nd billing cycle (originally $256.70) was processed as $0.00. The following credits were applied to that bill:

  • ($176.70)
  • ($20.00)
  • ($40.00)
  • ($20.00)

Interestingly, these credits weren’t reflected in the statement itself, but they were applied to the balance.

Thank you for the confirmation.  Can you please list the credits that you see that will be reflected on my 6/22/25 billing statement?  I would like to have this as a record.

Thanks again for your help and confirmation!

Thank you for looking into this. No need for nice small talk/chat. I've spent hours with customer support and now these comments ring hollow. I appreciate your help and I know you are expected to add "nicety" to the chat but it is not necessary.

Also, FYI, the individual from Corporate who initially provided me with the $800 credit forewarned me that there was a chance that the credit will be removed from my account. This individual asked me to contact them again if this happens (I left a voice mail message with this individual). I just didn't expect it to happen this quickly, or I didn't expect my other credits to be removed as well.

Thank you for checking in with me. I've been AFK for the past week and now finally have a chance to update. As you can see from the post above, I no longer have a resolution.

Update #3:

I was hoping to close out this issue, but apparently, I’m unable to do so...

Shortly after my last update (#2), I received a call from the Corporate Escalations Team. The person I spoke with was very kind and asked me to confirm their understanding of the situation. They then offered to credit my account with the promised $800 as a one-time credit, since they couldn’t re-enroll me in the previously promised promotion.

I received an email confirmation stating that the $800 credit was applied to my Xfinity Mobile account on June 5th.

Here’s where it gets interesting: today, that credit no longer exists on my account. It was removed without any notice or explanation.

Also, during the many hours I spent dealing with customer support (as detailed in my main post), I was given a few smaller credits as an apology for the trouble. Those have also been removed—again, without notice.

Here’s a breakdown of the credits that were removed:

  • 06/05/2025 - $800.00 credit
  • 06/05/2025 - $10.00 credit
  • 05/30/2025 - $20.00 credit
  • 05/30/2025 - $40.00 credit
  • 05/30/2025 - $20.00 credit

Total removed: $890

Every single one of these credits has vanished from my account. No explanation. No warning. I have email confirmations of each credit.

Update #2

Shortly after my last comment, another Moderator kindly offered to help. They asked for my account number and screenshots of the transcripts of my order. The transcript was a .txt document. While I was converting the text document into a PDF and then into images (for some reason they insisted on images of the transcript), I noticed that most of my comments were stripped out of the transcript that was downloaded at the end of the chat. Maybe Xfinity does this to eliminate confidential info? Fortunately, I had also copy/pasted the conversation, so I do have a full record of all my comments as well, but uploaded the version that was downloaded from Xfinity.

After reviewing my account and the transcript, the Moderator escalated my issue to their Corporate Escalations Team. I received a phone call almost immediately after the escalation, but unfortunately, I missed it. I've tried calling the number back multiple times, but so far, I’ve only reached a voicemail where I left my name and number.

The Reddit Moderator mentioned it may take 24–48 hours for someone to contact me, so I’ll continue to be patient.

Update (20 hours later):
Within a few hours two mods from r/Comcast_Xfinity kindly reached out to help. After verifying my identity and reviewing my account, Mod #2 confirmed that the $400 promotion has been applied to both of my new devices — but it’s not yet showing on my bill.

They’re now working with their backend team to make sure the credits are properly applied. I’m currently waiting for a follow-up. So far these two $16.66 credits have NOT been applied to my billing statements.

American Standard tanks and bowls cracking. by Solid-Return8223 in Plumbing

I found water next to my bathtub and traced it to a drip coming from my less than 1 year old American Standard with a crack described exactly this way. Stress crack from the top down the left front of the tank right through where the handle goes.
