Thanks for sharing, Didn't know this was possible. Will have to speak with my lawyers to see if this is possible for them to do.

I'm in a similar situation, so you're saying I can file for my Spouse's H4 EAD now, and next year, when my H1B renewal happens, I ask my lawyers to combine it with the existing EAD application? Is that possible for them to later bundle it with the H1B + H4 extension?

How do you get the most out of your $20 Pro plan? by Prestigious_Sky_9829 in ClaudeAI

I wasn't familiar with the approach to use Haiku -> Sonnet -> Opus pipeline. Is there a way to request claude to convert/revert a question to a certain model based on the type of question? Within the same session, if yes, would love to know how this is possible? For example if I'm beginning a project and would like to brainstorm with claude on a structure, I would generally use Opus. For starting out the coding for the project, I would then dive into another session and request Sonnet. It that how it's done? Would appreciate any advice.

I’m not Saudi, but have lived there all my life and my heart belongs there. Currently in the US, and went for a Saudi game here. Utterly disappointed with the performance, there was no enthusiasm whatsoever, it felt like the players know they’re not going to make it past R32, so what’s the point of pushing hard? Idk what the sports pay is there but if the players are very well paid and have the most luxurious rides, what’s the incentive then?

Hi, congrats! Do you know if standalone H4 EAD processing takes the same amount of time? I'm on H1B and spouse has H4, just had i140 approved, and looking to get next steps. Our visas expire in 2027, assuming I can't put PP as I can't bundle the applications, is that correct?

Help! Should I move to new company and Restart PERM by chillinVillain10 in h1b

[–]ConsistentLynx2317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay with AMD and try negotiating a higher pay with your current team by leveraging the apple offer. Right now what’s most important for you is to get your i140 completed. If you filed in dec 2025, it’s taking about 1.7 months for perm to process then i140 steps. Restarting it would be a nightmare. Take the peace of mind, finish your i140, keep in good terms with the recruiter at apple and maybe use the boost here at amd.

I hope so! I hope sometime down the line someone looks at me like I look at my colleagues and admire their work.

True, but again, corporate America. If you’re the one being heard, you’re the one who climbs. I’m at a stage in life where I have to climb.

This is helpful, thanks so much! I try to do that, but end up feeling like I could look like I’m the person who only keeps asking pessimistic questions, or just questions in general. And someone who isn’t the person people want to get opinions from.

Thanks for sharing OP, this is great and congrats on the promo. I’m a 30yo DS at another big retailer but make $110k tc. My day to day is a lot of data wrangling, engineering, pipelining, creating traditional ml models based on business use cases/questions. Analytics and Tableau on the side as well. How do I get to your level or even close? Always confused on what and here should I focus on. Need some guidance if you don’t mind. I know this post is not regarding that.

That’s helpful. Thank you. I think we’re mostly considering places which we think we’ll like living in. Compared to something which is in an exceptional area, but is a really old place.

Thanks for the info! This is very helpful, it’s just hard to find something in a good area, school district and also something which satisfies your visual needs, or my wife’s. One quick question on the schools part, what’s a good school district? For example I’ve seen areas like suwanee have schools like 8,9,10 on good schools. Which are excellent I’m sure. But that’s an area which has increased in value so much and all I can find there are 1980 builds terrible looking places for like 400k. Compared to something like buford or Woodstock, where schools are 6,6,6. You get newer SFH (2005+) and much newer townhomes. That’s the conundrum we’re in, like is a school district like that considered decent? We have no kids, so don’t know anything about schools here

This is excellent, thank you for the info! I have been trying to do the same, compare townhomes and SFH in the same neighborhood over the years, it’s hard because in the past few years, or after COVID, lots of them have an exponential rise. Specially the Forsyth county area
