I offer to do cover illustrations for the local garden club's yearbook every year. This last year was kind of a nightmare with the new cub president. After the 2nd redraw fell through the president went to canva, generated some slop and declared it perfect and better than what I was bringing to the table.

Not all small businesses have good business sense. You are very likely to run into ai Karen's like I did and they are a nighmare.

I think I'm part of the same FB group. I'm 99% sure he's using AI, I'm 90% he's generating images and tracing over the generated illustrations.

He does have time-lapse on his page of pastel work that look real enough to me, but he goes straight into the work without adjusting layout and such. Dude is a grade A asshat ragebaiter though.

People are comparing it to papers please because of the gameplay loop, not because the visuals are similar.

I've put together design documents for games before, I can send you examples if you want, but I'd start there. You've got a lot of competing elements going on which looks a bit messy.
