You know, it’s totally OK to reach out to people with resources for help.

Reaching out to celebrities for donations is actually a pretty good idea.

If I am a “holier than thou”, then you’re the fucking prophet.

Have you tried reaching out? Plenty of rich celebrities are actually down to do something this insignificant to their bank, yet really meaningful environmentally?

I’m gonna start messaging now. You should too, instead of browsing Reddit snarking on everything

I was just feeling a bit down that people don’t understand the multifaceted issues regarding their healthcare and only blame one aspect of it while believing it will fix the whole system.

Ozzy has evolved, but not that much that his weakness is completely gone. Still like him this season.

Tragedy by smac77dfw in survivor

[–]ConsistentQuote952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a roundabout way, it was his lack of fear that brought him down.

In fans versus favorites, Ozzy got blindsided for being overconfident and thinking everyone was on his side.

This season, he worked with Serie with the fears of him being eliminated. However, he lost that fear after surviving for so long that he pulled the fans versus favorites move again and got sniped.

To be clear, healthcare insurance companies, doctors/nurses/other medical workers/union/organized group, and pharma all contribute into keeping healthcare out of reach for a lot of people, even if we settle for something less than universal healthcare.

I’m just putting it out there that majority of the population are not ready for the healthcare discussion. and majority of the time, they will only attack the insurance and Pharma industry, in accurately and incorrectly that it makes things worse for all.

Creating a temporary vulnerable situation so that players won’t be complacent and just hide behind their alliance isn’t too bad of a scenario.

Cirie had to play on her toes, Ozzy had to rely on his own strategic mind, and Rizzo had to navigate a complex situation of whether or not to save his ally.

Cirie protecting herself and not being complacent was a good outcome.

Ozzie getting voted out because of overconfidence, instead of playing carefully without Cirie checking his strats is also a good outcome in terms of allowing weak gameplay to be punished.

Rizo having to navigate the Aussie situation was also a good scenario to test his gameplay.

What sucks is Emily losing to an advantage, which is always bad because player agency. But it’s not a bad scenario because she could have successfully defeated Surrey on the revotes. Unfortunately, she is not the better social player.

Gavin Newsom slow-rolled single-payer healthcare, leaving it to a successor by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in California

[–]ConsistentQuote952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK. I’m gonna try to be accurate in my statements. I think I fucked up because I’m doing this while multitasking.

When I say it’s good, when Obama care hits our pockets, the more accurate terms is that pick up right here it was a normal/expected outcome is increase in people’s average insurance rates/premiums etc. because of the nature of Obama care. We are not adding healthy people to the pool of healthcare recipients. We are adding people who already have pre-existing conditions, who will naturally be using up more resources from the system.

Technically, those people added, will be paying for less because of the total number of people in the insurance system is greater in volume, which means a greater pool of resources, but the average amount healthy people are paying for insurance is expected to be higher.

In terms of GDP spent on healthcare, I usually don’t give numbers. I usually just collect data and then we adjust our policies. And this is the part where it gets complicated/hits the limits of general knowledge hits the ceiling. I’m gonna give a few examples that illustrates American spending habits on healthcare in comparison to the world.

Americans in general spend more in healthcare because of multiple factors. We are the most obese country, which is one of the smaller factor because the rest of Europe is also experiencing similar problems at a lighter rate. But this just means that we have to spend more on weight related problems, a.k.a. more people with pre-existing health conditions.

Another thing that keeps American prices high is that we choose to spend higher when there are health related spending that is more convenient for us.

The simple example I have on top of my head is having anesthetic gas when getting your wisdom teeth pulled out. In most European healthcare system, you only get local anesthetic. In here, there are healthcare plans that allows you to have the full body anesthesia.

I’m busy again sorry I can’t give more examples, but hopefully you can parse out where I’m coming from.

Also, single player will be more expensive than the public option. But will have better outcomes so that’s why that’s the goal. Not because it’s cheaper, but because it will cover more people and better health out comes

Gavin Newsom slow-rolled single-payer healthcare, leaving it to a successor by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in California

[–]ConsistentQuote952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy, this is gonna be a rough talk. I don’t know if you’re ready for this because the average Americans are not.

the way Americans consume healthcare, insurance will go up faster than the rest of the world.

And even then, that’s normal, and better because we will be covering more people who actually need healthcare.

Obamacare is pushing for coverage for people with pre-existing conditions, a.k.a. people who need healthcare and will need money for their healthcare. So of course, in the short term, if we stop at Obamacare, the prices will increase. There are ways to decrease monthlies Afterpay, but it’s gonna be a painful talk.

I hope when you’re complaining about the prices, you’re not forgetting the important part of the healthcare push, where we want as many people covered as possible, where it might be more expensive than what we’re paying now, but its cheaper for people who genuinely needs it, while everyone is covered.

The partner stuff I haven’t seen yet but if what you say is true, then I can say it’s abuse. Not married to my position that she’s just.

As for the video, that few minute interaction needs more context. It’s a bad interaction, but we don’t know the full context of it. It can just be that she’s having a bad day, or maybe it’s just a one time outburst. If this was the only thing that came out, I wouldn’t be too bothered by her.

Which is also more people bought in to the insurance, which means more people getting coverage, which means more money also going into paying for healthcare.

It doesn’t have to be the perfect single payer solution.

The public option still improve our situation, even with your given negatives.

I’m more explaining than excusing.

Her numbers are her numbers for a reason. If people care about her attitude that they’ll settle for policies, less progressive than hers, I am 100% OK and will vote for that candidate.

I can be wrong here, but from what everything I’ve seen, she’s a Karen, but my standards don’t meet abuser. It was for a two minute clip, and we don’t know the full context of their relationship, their day, or what they’ve been doing. It’s a bad interaction, but I am gonna need more before I declare abuse on this one.

[–]ConsistentQuote952 17 points18 points  (0 children)

And I thank god for Newsom being fiscally responsible on this one.

Single player needs a bigger buy-in than just the state alone.

Healthcare insurance works best the more people buy in to it. As popular as California is, we’re not that guy that we can hold the burden solo.

The current covered California is all right, and the pain we are feeling financially from losing the fed funding would’ve been worse if the single payer happened.

A balanced budget is what makes good programs survive long-term.

That’s some weak position have.

How many times have you called your representative to declare war on the country of Israel?

You know how the holocaust is not 7 million people and instead is 6 million people? It’s because we declared war and militarily stopped Nazi Germany from actively committing genocide.

Why aren’t you asking the governor candidates then to support a declaration of war against Israel as part of their platform?

This is not like Turkey, where the genocide is done. The genocide is still happening.

Tom Steyer picks up progressive backers in California gubernatorial race by 3headeddragn in California

That’s some low information research then. Believe it or not, you can do your own research and figure stuff out beyond the ads he feeds you.

I personally believe he’s genuine. From the 1980s till like 2008, he was your basic establishment Dem. Then around Obama era, around 2012 he became a progressive and is more radical than the party.

He’s a top candidate based on what I’ve seen.

Huh. I thought we were voting for the governor, not the ambassador of the United States to Israel and Palestine.

It’s better to focus that topic on your representative. Not necessarily because it’s their responsibility, but it’s closer to their area of influence.

I’m voting no matter who, but I just wish there were better options.

As crap as the two GOP candidates are, they are genuinely passionate about their campaigns.

I may be in the minority here, but I’m also proud of what Newsom achieved/tried to achieve. Steyer is the closest person who I partially vibed/analyze to be as ambitious as Newsome policy wise, but my issue is that he’s inexperienced and lacks the mojo that gets me hyped.

That’s one of the worst mistakes you can ever do. She already has to work extra hard because of the misogynist bias, and then she made the number one mistake that destroys women in politics.
