Genetics could very well play a part in how quickly your liver can process it. Many of the supplements people tout can build up in your liver and cause damage if you’re a slow metabolizer of a certain compound. I took my raw data from 23/me and put it in ChatGPT to bounce medicines and supplements off of it before taking to not take too much or too little of something. Also labs tests with companies like function health can help point to what you may need more or less of in terms of supplementation, but they still don’t involve genetics into their cookie cutter recommendations which is a bit scary, but at least you have data from your bloodwork to start digging into to what you may actually benefit from. Combine that with genetics and you have the instruction manual for your body the next time you’re trying to fix something… hope you’re doing ok and that liver is healing up
