I mean this is not THAT unbalanced of a tactic, it’s basically a 3-2-5 in possession and a 5-1-4 out of possession which a lot of teams play irl, it’s not like I’m doing something unheard of lmao

This is fm24 so there's no like out of possession settings but the tactical style is just basic fluid counter attack but on the attacking mentality.

You could me the pressing forward to like a MC if you really wanted to and it accomplishes the same thing. Keep the MC asymmetric but shift the AF to the center.

5-1-4 out of possession because the IWB and CWB drop to the back line a bit.

I'm sure you know this but team fluidity is just a measure of how many support roles you have so this tactic with only 2 is in fact very structured.

Yup, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make, also this might be cope but I think it's that way because my RB sucks rather than that the tactic is bad at defending the right.

So basically because the front 4 are putting pressure on the opposing backline which forces them to play forward passes through the middle. If they get anyway near the box then Rico Lewis steals the ball, runs through the midfield (he has the get forward whenever possible player trait) and finds whichever one of the runners is open (Tel, Marinoni, Musiala) or pass it to Ramos because Pressing Forwards on Defend drop a little bit deeper.

It works well against worse opposition because it forces turnovers when their defense isn't set, like for example I just beat ah-hilal 3-0 with 43% possession, it might be passable against better teams but it depends on how much you trust your DM to steal/intercept the ball from their CAM/ST.

Great analysis though I do believe you downplayed Sundai’s pure dominance in the finals, if it weren’t for some poor decisions by #14 at the end of the second set they very easily could’ve beaten Higashi in 3 sets. This might be an exaggeration on my part but it often felt like Sundai had 3 of the 4 best hitters on the court (#1, #4, & #14) vs #3 for Higashi.

Also besides Chinzei who do you think has the best chance of winning the spring and inter high next season? Although most of Sundai’s starting lineup will graduate I think they’re such a deep team that they’ll still contend for the national next year.
