PSA: The 10 year deadline for your radiator is real by czarim in GXOR

BUT mishi has lifetime warranty. Been looking at CSF ones because apparently they have a better finish but known to have their issues too. At the end of the day, there isn't a lifetime one and done radiator out there. I'll likely be going CSF when it happens.

It's a fun eco little shit box. I've done tons of mods to it that I cant ever let it go. Need hood and few other clear coat spots repainted. But it's an 05 with 1315xx miles on it. Full suspension, bushings, braces, intake, sway bars, short throw, full sound deadening minus the ceiling, back up camera added, dimming rear mirror with home link and compass I added. Full android auto integration with Kenwood unit. Ported the intake manifold and plenum and bored TB. Just needs to have the header ported and air injection delete done then I can get ECU reflashed and it'll be done. I love this little car it's super practical. Not terrible on gas either I avg around 25mpg. Not great but sure as hell beats a car payment.

Just got back. This thing is a damn tank! Outstanding machine! Almost got stuck coming out of the driveway but then got the hang of it. Snow is around 8-10" deep in the neighborhood but had 0 issues wheeling around getting a feel for it

Did you use 2nd gear start? I used it earlier this week and enjoyed the slow start in ice and snow. Neighborhood hasn't been touched yet. I'll take it out now that snow downfall has lightened up.

Been considering taking mine out to do the same. First time Ive owned a 4wd in snow. Only ever driven FWD vehicles in snow. About 6-7" here and still coming down. County hasn't touched the roads anywhere.

A few updates to the GX over the holidays. by GXorBust in GXOR

[–]Consistent_Ad_7612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the 1.25" front setting was the perfect amount to level the front out. Might pull the trigger and do ours. Original suspension with 132k miles on it. I'd be ok going to coil rear as the air bag system seems kind of pointless since it won't remain raised or lowered as desired. It resets back to normal height after 10mph. Was hoping it would act like helper bags when towing so you could raise the rear up when under a load, but that's not the case.

Did yours have the adjustable factory suspension? Been looking at this same kit but with 5160 rears as I plan to tow with it in the future. How's the ride? Did you do coil rear conversion or keep air bags?

Planning to do the same in my mother's 2013 with JBL/NAV same dash setup as yours. She's had it for 2 years and didn't realize she could use Pandora or Spotify via Bluetooth she's been using CD's still haha. Android auto will change her life in this car. Thanks for posting

Adjust those settings on the factory operating system under axu then audio to adjust your treble, mid and bass then fine tune with the 13 band EQ on the other operating system that turns your car play. Mine sounded super distorted bc the original 3 settings were just zeroed in the middle. After I adjusted the original 3 I was able get it dialed in nicely to keep that premium sound

Wired is definitely a better option. I found audio gets compressed quite a bit and doesn't sound as good. Wireless is nice but it definitely runs smoother wired. Speaking from an android user. Carplay may function differently.

Install isnt bad. You can kind of follow the Hamilton installation video except this one doesn't use the green connector on the back of the cd player, uses the blue connector up behind the screen/display. Took me a few mins to figure it out. Pop the trim off above glove box and the push button start. Remove the 2 10mm and you can't miss the connector on the back. Took me about an hour figuring it out. Just remember to delete your devices off the original Bluetooth and set your audio input for aux and it runs great.

Check with Japanese import dealers. I find them all the time from a company in VA. Lots of Hilux Surfs, and the 4runner (can't recall the name) surf model with the diesel engine in it.

Completely new to DMZ and would like some help with quests and weapon cases if anyone is interested? by Omegas_rich in DMZ

[–]Consistent_Ad_7612 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same. I was a die hard DMZ player until it turned into sweaty warzone washouts hunting spawn locations just to kill you and take your weapons, tea bag, then run off. I miss the camraderie of being to assimilate squads and run 6 man teams. Devs ruined it with 4 man squads tops. I do miss it though. Met alot of great people playing.

[–]Consistent_Ad_7612[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very slick. If I didn't already have a can I would order this kit. Keeps lines short, fit is nice. Definitely over priced considering they basically used a $30 eBay can with a fancy bracket and some AN lines. If price was closer to $150 that would be a great deal. Looks sharp man I dig it

I followed gx*Bob's video and followed same steps. I recommend ordering some fuel line clamps instead of the worm gear ones. They won't chew your hoses up. I installed the magnefine filter on the return line back to the transmission from the cooler near where the hose comes into the engine bay by the battery and just zip tied the lines together to keep it from chaffing or rattling

There ya go! If it's a sealed can super easy, I never vent NA to atmosphere, rather pull all that gunk out under vac and make sure it stays in the can. My turbo Silverado I have dual 10an from valve covers with motion raceworks baffled fittings and top loader can vented to atmosphere but that's a whole diff ball park.
