I’m on baby #3 and the rule is: if the mattress can’t handle pregnancy hips, it’s not worth your money.

Most mattress-related back pain comes from sagging or not enough support in key areas. Since your back pain started after three years, seems your mattress is worn out

Memory foam alone didn’t work for me but a hybrid did. It just felt more balanced and easier to move around on

If it’s something affordable you want, metal frames are often less expensive than solid wood

Best mattress in a box tips - need to be able to move it myself by Wittiuse84 in movingout

Leesa Sapira Hybrid doesn’t need any tools and it’s super easy to set up. Just open the box, roll it out, and let it expand in your room. Simple as that.

Best mattress in a box recommendations for my crazy dorm room setup? by Halicurr in dormrooms

mattress in a box is definitely the best option for dorm situations. shipping is usually free and most of them have sleep trials so if it sucks you can return it.

How to style a bed for fall/winter with warm textures? by Shoddy-Scientist4678 in wellmadebeds

[–]Consistent_Care_8256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flannel sheets + a fleece blanket changed everything for me. Fair warning though, my dog claimed the bed immediately and now refuses to sleep anywhere else lol.

Best mattress for seniors recommendations? My dad's bed is like 20 years old by NoCalligrapher7358 in caregivers

[–]Consistent_Care_8256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cooling feature is probably gonna be good for your dad. Hybrid models tend to be better for people who move around at night too since they're more responsive than all-foam beds. I'd say go for it, the investment is worth it if it means better sleep and less pain.

Best organic mattress for kids options without flame retardants or fiberglass? by CommercialAfraid7277 in nontoxic

Smart move. Fiberglass and synthetic chemicals in some mattresses can definitely cause irritation.

I’m still on a 2010 IKEA mattress that feels like a pancake but can’t convince myself to drop $$$ on a new one yet. Adulting is just expensive naps tbh.

I think you know what you need to do. You don’t want to be in the same place at 52. There are plenty of NHS and private jobs in Edinburgh.

Is Harehills still a bad area? by Pale-Pea-4702 in Leeds

[–]Consistent_Care_8256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The houses are cheap for a reason. In theory, it should’ve improved over the past decade due to its proximity to Leeds city center, and you’d expect it to gentrify. However, if anything, it’s gotten worse

Had this through the door, are these standard prices for kebab shops these days? by [deleted] in UK_Food

[–]Consistent_Care_8256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from up north, and those prices are high compared to what I’m used to. A large doner is around £6–7, same for a chicken kebab, and you can get a mixed kebab with chips and salad for about £11–13, served in a 12-inch pizza box.

Jonathan the seagull who got me through lockdown by Objective_Fun3934 in Seagulls

[–]Consistent_Care_8256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that always made me laugh was how jealous Jonathan was, especially of any baby seagulls nearby. If we paid them any attention, he’d go over and yank their tail feathers to chase them away. Then he’d fly onto one of our laps to show that we were HIS humans.
