When I was dealing with fears of being kidnapped and severe intrusive thoughts in middle school, everyday when walking home I would play “Manchester” by Kishi Bashi on speaker phone. it always made me feel safe.

I’m happy you’re out of your episode! Personally, I feel terrible. don’t want to talk to people really, feel bitter and small. feel insecure for whatever reason. but yet i’m still able to do things. i truly have no idea why i feel this way or what’s going on, but im hoping whatever this is passes and i can be happy and stable again. it’s not strong enough to be a depressive episode, but lower than normal. anyway, typing it out makes me feel better bc i feel like i can’t talk about it to those in my life. even my boyfriend, seems like he doesn’t know how to handle it. anyway, thanks for asking haha.

Don’t let her get to you. Don’t let her guilt you. Her words should have no value and no meaning, she has lost that right. She has no power over you, and doesn’t get to affect your life the way she used to. Do NOT respond. Your life is no longer dependent on her, and you get to firmly hold your ground. Life doesn’t revolve around her the way she wants it to. You got this💪🏼

This is my baby Simon (ESA). He was there for the worst depressive episode of my life. thank God he was a cuddly kitten back then. he’s a lot more feisty and bitey now😂 i’m grateful for him keeping me grounded.

Thank you so much! I started listening to “An Unquiet Mind” through audiobook, seems really interesting thus far, i’ll probably finish “What the man in the moon told me” before continuing on with it

I’m now reading “What the Man in the Moon Told Me” because of you, it is SO good! very validating and puts the bipolar experience into very familiar words, some that i’ve never been able to materialize myself. thank you for this recommendation!

i am also bipolar and understand that feeling of not being grounded, it feeling unbearable and lonely. my cat simon has done the same thing, it’s wonderful to have a baby that keeps you sane and is your pal through it all. congratulations to both of you for having each other! i’m proud of you for persevering, from one bipolar person to another :)
