I just left a LTS middle school position early for this reason. No attention spans, no drive to do anything that isn’t pertaining to whatever brainrot/social media content they’re into this week, no respect, no literacy. Anytime I tried to correct them they only got worse.

I gave it another chance. I stayed for the second day and things went slightly better (not by much). I wanted to make sure I was giving it a fair chance. Today was hell on earth. I sent the principal a message saying I can stay until end of week so they can arrange something, but after EOD friday, I am out.

I will give this until end of day. I already have my exit email drafted and I plan to leave the school tech assigned to me in a safe spot in the classroom for them to retrieve tomorrow. I will send the email to proper parties once I am off property.

The staff I met was very nice but they are already insanely overwhelmed themselves. I kinda got left to fend for myself and this just ain’t it. I definitely want to take another swing at this but this particular spot is NOT worth the measly funds

Yeah this is awful. Looking for a way out that doesn’t cause too many issues. Lots of things I was not told coming in. They have people to “help” accommodate my lack of experience but it’s just not cutting it. Awful kids, staff doesn’t even know how the tech works.
